For years, you guided, lectured, indoctrinated your children to be honest and not break the law and be kind to others and obey the rules. And then you voted for him. Knowing full well that he was a liar, had no moral compass and looked down on everyone including you. So what do you tell your children who may now be scarred by or traumatized by the very discipline used against them as children that you now grant the highest honor to this man for doing the exact same thing. You have three choices. Lie to them and do not admit to voting for him. That is bad. Admit to voting for him, disregarding the facts and belittling the very moral standards you punish your children for doing. Or do not vote for him. Keep this in mind the next time you face your child or anyone else who bares the physical scars or the emotional scars from someone who would do such a thing.

There is an entire demographic of citizens in this country who are going to have to grow up. None knows how the story will play out next week but in the event good overcomes evil, they are all going to have to face a reality they all pretend is not the moral right way adults need to act.

Satire aside, it is never appropriate to demean any class of people in the way the discourse today is doing so. It is quite all right to disagree in principle on anything and discuss it with them in such a way as to name call and bigot stab in some attempt to raise yourself above the others not like you
