This year, Special Olympics Tennessee is completing a statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run carrying the Flame of Hope across the state. Their goal is to have the entire state completed by end of July, 2021.
Retired Chief Joe Casey, Metro Nashville Police Dept.(TN), has been a long-time supporter of Special Olympics and instrumental in bringing the Law Enforcement Torch Run into a global movement. To honor his commitment, they are hosting a Statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run in 2021. They are running the Flame of Hope across Tennessee with a goal of completing the entire state by the end of July.
This is the 40th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement. Known as Guardians of the Flame, law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the Flame of Hope into Opening Ceremonies of local competitions.
They also carry it into Special Olympics State, Provincial, National, Regional and World Games. There are over 97,000 law enforcement members that carry the Flame of Hope. The flame symbolizes courage and celebration of diversity uniting communities around the globe. Over 150,000 law enforcement officers in all 50 states, 12 Canadian provinces and 48 countries carry the Flame of Hope annually.
Owner of The Hardwood Grove, Danny Bell, gave the VIP crew an extra sweet treat. We got to witness a live epoxy pour! Danny uses Single Barrel Deep Pour epoxy. If you've been in his shop, you'll notice that Danny cares about every single hand crafted detail. His epoxy choice is no different. In fact, it is the ONLY veteran owned epoxy made in Tennessee! 🤯 Ready to be double mind blown? DANNY MAKES THE EPOXY TOO! 🤯🤯 From trunk to table, Danny does it all. 🙌

Super awesome Blue Angel flyover to thank all healthcare workers!
Amity Salon hosted an event in October to honor the courage and strength of the people who have willingly shared their breast cancer stories AND to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
When Amity's owner, Tonya DeRose, took to Facebook - the first of a video series - to tell her personal story of her mom's battle, we just knew we wanted to talk to all of her fundraiser's participants... and that THEY would be our inspiration for the FIRST EVER issue of VIP Health & Beauty!
We would like to extend a THANK YOU to these inspiring individuals, who have been personally touched by breast cancer, for sharing their stories with Amity, Clarksville and now... VIP Health & Beauty.
