Collectively we could write a book on the DON'Ts of business and the hard knocks....but we are trying to highlight the DO's. We appreciate your experiences but we are not managment. So let's keep the bashing to a minimum. We're trying to have FUN here. And bashing is the opposite of FUN for us. That's not to say your honest opinion will be squashed or suppressed. But there is an acceptable way to voice that opinion. And a way that is not so cool. We reserve the right to remove comments & images that we deem counterproductive to our mission as a whole. If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming spot to grab breakfast or lunch, look no further than The Light Café located in Oak Grove, KY! 🌟

This charming café is a family-owned business run by mother-in-law Eva and her daughter-in-law Wendy. The space exudes warmth and love, and that’s because every detail has a story. Before renovating, they spent three weeks cleaning the place to transform it into the intimate café it is today. 🧡

Wendy’s husband even built the beautiful countertop and display case, adding to the café’s unique character. The menu may be small, but it’s packed with amazing flavors that will leave you wanting more. Eva has been making biscuits since she could walk, and you can definitely taste the love and experience in every bite. 🥰

We tried a little bit of everything—from biscuits and turkey sausage gravy to biscuits topped with a delightful blueberry sauce, breakfast burritos, lemon blueberry cheesecake, and a scrumptious apple cake (the name escapes us, but the flavor won’t be forgotten!). 🤤

Eva also crafts all the delicious desserts by hand! And if you pop in on a Sunday, you’ll find even more surprises like their French biscuits (think French toast with a biscuit twist) or their famous Breuben (a Reuben, but on—you guessed it—a biscuit!). 😍

This is one spot you absolutely need to check out, and we’re already planning our next trip to try more of their specialties.

Pizza on Sundays may not be typical for Caprigios Pizza , but thanks to the kindness and generosity of the owner Ilona Rivera, her popular pizzas are brought to her local church, with those proceeds supporting mission efforts to aid children and those in need worldwide.

These proceeds provide essential services such as dental care, medical check-ups, hygiene necessities, clean water, food, and clothing, bringing joy and blessings to those in need. Illona, you are truly an angel!

What began as a quest for extra storage and a personal game room has evolved into a full-fledged tabletop game store. Dragon’s D stands out because there are no reservation fees for renting a table. Owner Jason is dedicated to creating a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy their own game room experience.

We can’t always choose the perfect weather day to visit a new business, but that didn’t stop Gail from checking out Leche y miel Panaderia (Milk & Honey Bakery) to meet owners Delci Cruz, her husband Gabino Soriano, and their talented team of bakers. Despite the rain, loyal customers kept coming, knowing the delicious treats that awaited inside!

Delci’s baking journey started 15 years ago in Oaxaca, Mexico, before continuing in Nashville, and then bringing her talents to Clarksville three years ago. Initially, she baked from her apartment and quickly gained the attention of neighbors who couldn’t get enough of her creations. Her popularity grew through word-of-mouth and social media, leading to the support she needed to open her own bakery right here in Clarksville.

Leche Y Miel bakes fresh bread three times a day, so you’re very likely to find hot, delicious bread no matter when you visit. The variety is incredible—sweet breads, desserts, churros, cornbread, cookies, bread pudding, cakes (including special orders), and more. They also offer seasonal specialties, like the red “Payasso” swirl bread, pumpkin muffins, and “Pan de Muerto” (Bread of the Dead) for the Halloween and Día de los Mu***os season.

Enjoy these treats with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, made from chocolate imported directly from Oaxaca, Mexico. 🥖☕️
