LOCAL Clarksville, TN Choosing LOCAL, the heart of our city!! We support LOCAL spots to EAT, SHOP & PLAY & share with you! Hello and welcome to LOCAL Clarksville! The positive.

We are thrilled that you have chosen to join us in our community. Whether you are a resident or just visiting, we want to ensure that you have the best experience possible. LOCAL Clarksville is a vibrant and diverse city with a rich history and a wide range of activities and attractions to explore. From our charming downtown area filled with unique shops and restaurants to our beautiful parks and

outdoor recreational opportunities, there is something for everyone here. We also have a thriving arts and culture scene, with galleries, theaters, and live music venues showcasing local talent. Our community is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere, and we encourage you to get involved and connect with your neighbors. Whether you are looking for information on local events, recommendations for the best places to eat, or simply want to learn more about our city, we are here to help. Thank you for choosing LOCAL Clarksville, and we hope you have a wonderful time discovering all that our community has to offer. Let's set out some ground rules so we all know how to play.

1.) Let's be nice to each other. :) It's the only way this whole thing is going to work. And it's a basic skill we learned way back in elementary school. So we like the mantra Be Kind whenever possible. And we think it's most always possible.

2.) Be respectful of our local businesses. It's a tough world running your own business. Collectively we could write a book on the DON'Ts of business and the hard knocks....but we are trying to highlight the DO's. We appreciate your experiences but we are not managment. So let's keep the bashing to a minimum. We're trying to have FUN here. And bashing is the opposite of FUN for us. That's not to say your honest opinion will be squashed or suppressed. But there is an acceptable way to voice that opinion. And a way that is not so cool. We reserve the right to remove comments & images that we deem counterproductive to our mission as a whole. But we don't want to so please refer back to rules 1 & 2. :) And that's it. Enjoy and always remember to Think LOCAL First!

Michael and Christine are the owners of the new downtown store, The Shoppe on Franklin . Their shop started as a joke.

Literally.

Michael looked around at how much inventory they had stored and said he could open a store in a week. Christine laughed and said he could not.

So he did.

They opened a storefront because downtown needed more shopping, retail, and places to wander. And just like that, The Shoppe on Franklin was born.

They opened on November 21st, and what surprised them most was the people. The steady flow. The community showing up far more than they expected.

Inside the shop you will find:
• Vintage clothing, most of it brand new with tags
• Jewelry
• Antiques and unique vintage finds
• Luxury and designer watches
• And items you truly will not find anywhere else

A huge part of their heart is supporting local makers, like a 77 year old candle maker from Burns, Tennessee, and small creators whose work deserves a spotlight instead of a warehouse shelf.

They are also no strangers to the LOCAL scene because they also own Frozen Fuel . They love supporting fellow downtown favorites like Edward's Steakhouse , The Clarksville Collection , and Johnny's Big Burger .

How can the community support them?
Come say hi.
Come hang out.
Come browse, discover, and find something you did not know you were looking for.

This shop is about more than products. It is about stories, people, and keeping downtown alive.

If you have not stepped inside yet, this is your sign.

Don’t forget to tell them that LOCAL sent ya!

🐾 Alicia's Pet Care isn’t a loud kennel or a one size fits all boarding place. It feels like home because that’s how pets are treated. With 25 years of hands on experience, Alicia and her CPR and First Aid certified team focus on calm, personalized care for both dogs and cats.

What we love best about their boarding is that pets follow their own routines, enjoy comfort time including story reading before bed, and stay in a clean, peaceful space that’s always monitored for safety. Pet parents receive daily photos, updates, and report cards so they never feel out of the loop. So cool right???

With hundreds of glowing reviews from local families, it’s easy to see why so many trust Alicia’s Pet Care when they travel. It’s not just boarding. It’s loving, experienced care you can feel good about. 🐶🐱

Locally owned. Deeply trusted. Truly personal.

Do you have a furry friend that would love it at Alicia’s?

We want to see a pic of your pet. ⬇️

Meet Hot Ballz 4 U 🔥⚽️ (yes… really 😄)

Clarksville, say hi to Gregory and Andrew, the faces (and brains) behind Hotballz4u, a brand-new LOCAL food truck that decided to do things a little differently… and a little ballsy.

What started as a family idea (their wives are sisters!) over a casual night of food turned into a full on food truck serving up cheesesteaks, burgers, fries, and their signature twist: Hot Ballz. Think boudin balls… but flipped. Ground beef. Rice. Seasonings. And yes... Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. 🌶️🔥

They officially opened in September, which meant launching during colder weather when foot traffic was slow and people weren’t quite ready to roam for food trucks. But they didn’t quit. They found a home base, kept showing up, and started meeting neighbors from all walks of life.

📍 You can usually find them Monday–Thursday, 12–6pm, parked at Ringgold Fine Wine & Spirits off Ft. Campbell, and on Fridays & Saturdays they’re out at events around the community. Townhomes, local gatherings, pop-ups.

They’re showing up wherever people are.
What do they need most right now?

Honestly… just support.

Come try the food. Tell a friend. Spread the word. Follow them on social media. Small actions make a big difference for brand new businesses like this.

And we love that they’re already giving back. They’ve partnered with a local dog adoption group and even created a dish inspired by them (Mikaela's Mutt Motel). That’s the kind of LOCAL support LOCAL energy we’re here for. 🐾❤️

Their hope for the future?

More trucks. More reach. Maybe even a restaurant one day. But for now, they’re focused on building something solid right here with the community that’s been cheering them on from the start.

If you see HotBallz4u around town, stop by, say hi, tell them LOCAL sent ya, and yeah…
👉 go buy some ballz. 😄

Supporting local really does hit different.

Downtown Clarksville business owners are working hard to continue to grow as a hub for small businesses, offering residents and visitors an ever-expanding selection of shops, boutiques, and dining spots with several new places that opened downtown last month.

Among the latest highlights is The Tea House , formerly known as Pinky's Up, which celebrated its grand re-opening last month.

The Tea House now features an expanded menu that includes a wide variety of teas, fresh baked goods, and several food selections, including convenient grab-and-go options.

Connected to the café is For Ruffled Fur , a unique boutique that brings together vendor rooms, health services, specialty items, treats for both humans and pets, and a range of additional offerings.

One notable nonprofit vendor within the boutique is The Hope Girls, operated by Joy, whose mission is to support trafficked and abused women in the Dominican Republic. The organization provides beautifully crafted, durable bags that help fund empowerment and recovery efforts.

For anyone looking to explore more of what Clarksville’s small business community has to offer, The Tea House and For Ruffled Fur make meaningful stops on your local journey. Let them know LOCAL sent ya!

Where support for LOCAL business and the Clarksville community comes together!

Our mission is to support local businesses, create a supportive network and provide resources for buyers, sellers and the Clarksville community. We are here to empower local owners, help the community know a little more about LOCAL businesses and most of all have fun while doing it. We love shares, likes and comments. We encourage you to go out & meet our LOCAL owners & staff. Converse, engage & connect!! We’re LOCAL gals are just a group of local business owners; moms, who work, enjoy life, have lives & careers that cause us to be out and about in the community. We thought how great it would be to give back while we're out there doing our thing. We aim to keep it positive, light, encouraging and most importantly, FUN!

Not all of us have great experiences at places we visit. That's a given in life. Your experience may vary from ours and we acknowledge that. If yours was awful or completely different, while we see that is unfortunate, that is something we suggest for a manager/owner at the establishment. All of us are all made up of all sorts of experiences, things and opinions. We are all different. We can be all be different here, but it can still work! If we have a terrible experience somewhere, rather than voice that here, we would probably just let it ride. No cool video. No fun check-in. No awesome pictures. No celebration of our experience. We're not trying to bait and switch here. We're just trying to eat, shop, support, interact & bring people together! And what we post are OUR experiences. So that brings us to this...let's set out some ground rules so we all know how to play. 1.) Let's be nice to each other. :) It's the only way this whole thing is going to work. And it's a basic skill we learned way back in elementary school. So we like the mantra Be Kind whenever possible. And we think it's most always possible. 2.) Be respectful of our local businesses.
