PLEASE SHARE AND HELP HIM FIND HIS FOREVER HOME!
Meet 🐓 Rooster! He’s a handsome man who was pulled from animal control after being there a whole month!
When we pulled him he was in pretty rough condition from a skin infection and was pretty underweight. In the month we’ve had him he has fattened up and the skin issue is well on its way to being better.
🐓He’s good on a leash and enjoys walking. He hasn’t shown any aggression towards other dogs including those that have run up on him while out on walks.
🐓He hasn’t shown any been ok with the cats. He mostly ignores them but obviously you should use caution when introducing new animals to the home.
🐓He is kennel trained. He complains a little when he initially goes in but typically settles with in 10 minutes or so. Especially at night when he’s tired and ready for bed.
🐓He is potty trained and stands at the door quietly when he’d like to go out.
🐓When off leash at our land he ran around having a blast and had good recall when my husband called him.
🐓We haven’t had him chew anything he’s not supposed to. He does like to chew dog bones and items that are safe to chew on. But so far no sneaking shoes or other items.
🐓He is good with kids but I think calmer older children who are respectful of his boundaries and will give him the time to adjust to his new environment.
🐓He enjoys car rides.
🐓He did well at the vet when I took him.
🐓He doesn’t like his nails being trimmed or his feet being touched but I mean who does lol
🐓Rooster is heart worm negative and up to date on shots and preventatives.
🐓He is fixed.
If you’d like to meet or apply to adopt you can reach out to Mikaela's Mutt Motel. He is currently being fostered by us through them. If you have any questions, please reach out.
