Clarendon and Howardwick firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Clarendon in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street near Martindale Street. Emergency personnel at the scene say it appears no one was home at the time of the fire.

The Senior Class of 2025 is selling 50/50 raffle tickets to raise money for their Project Graduation all night party. They're $5 each or $20 for 5 tickets. The drawing will be held at halftime of the senior night football game this Friday, November 1. You do not have to be present to win.

BREAKING NEWS: Hall County Sheriff Tom Heck tonight released the following statement about the capture of Seth Altman of Memphis.

"On October 25, 2024, at approximately 5:03 p.m. the Hall County Sheriff’s Office received a hit confirmation request from the Fort Worth Police Department for Seth Altman. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the warrant for a charge of attempted capital murder of a peace officer. Seth Altman was taken into custody without incident by the Fort Worth Police Department . He was then transported to the Tarrant County Jail where he is being held on a bond of one million dollars."

Altman was wanted on the charge of attempted capital murder of a peace officer following the October 3 shooting of Memphis Police Chief Rex Plant.
