JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T REV YOUR ENGINE ALL THE TIME...

“DO YOU KNOW MOST OF US ARE PUPPETS?

Growing up, I found myself falling in love with the idea of becoming a television director. I studied the arts, communication, psychology; all in preparation for launching that career.

But then, I felt the tug of strings in my life influencing me to think otherwise. From parents, social pressures, and even friends; many of our dreams are twisted, opposed, and sometimes put to death because we allowed ourselves to be a puppet to the strings of influence in our life.

SOMETIMES STRINGS CAN SAVE US FROM FALLING AND GETTING HURT.

TOO OFTEN, STRINGS CAN STEAL OUR DREAMS AND ROB US FROM FULFILLING OUR DESTINY.

We can’t remove all the strings in our life, but we can:

🎬 Become aware of our strings

🎬 Be deliberate about their influence

🎬 Cut the strings that need to be removed

🎬 Embrace the strings that provide positive direction and guidance

HEY EVERYONE! I’M MOVING!

After a year of reflection, the time has finally come.

As I pack up my belongings, I’m leaving a few things behind: fear, doubt, the need to please everyone, and the lies I told myself while comparing my insides to other people’s outsides.

What I’m taking with me are my hopes and dreams, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and the lessons from both the joyful and challenging experiences that have shaped me.

Most importantly, I’m bringing along my cherished friends, partners, and family—people I owe an immense debt of gratitude.

I’ve never been more excited about the journey ahead!

YOU ARE A VICTIM…!

of where you focus.

It’s simple psychology.

We all find what we are looking for because we are constantly in the pursuit of validating what we feel and believe.

If you have a growth mindset and believe life is filled with hope, opportunity, and you have the capacity to rise above the obstacles to accomplish great things… guess what happens?

YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS.

But if you have slid into a victim mindset filled with fear, doubt, and you believe you will be unjustly judged, accused, and disrespected… guess what happens?

YOU WILL STRUGGLE IN THE VICTIM SPIRAL.

Of course, changing our mindset is not a switch that we just flip on and off.

How we think, and our outlook on our own life has been a product of layers of experiences and filters that can distort realty.

That’s why it becomes a deliberate decision we must make every day.

Buy into the victim mindset and repeat the lies and echoes of doubt that are robbing us from real joy and fulfillment…

Or, make a bold decision to:

❤️ Count our blessings,

❤️ Embrace gratefulness,

❤️ Guard against the pit of depressive darkness that wants to suffocate you,

❤️ Get help if you have been living this cycle for months or more!

In my work, I’ve seen that every great event has a storyline that unfolds with intention, capturing hearts, and inspiring action.

Here are 3 steps to elevate your storytelling and create that powerful crescendo:

🎬 Define the Emotional Arc

Map out the journey you want attendees to experience. Think about the highs, the lows, and that ultimate high point. This arc creates emotional engagement and gives your event a sense of purpose.

🎬 Build Anticipation

Use pacing, visuals, and sound to draw people in gradually. Each segment should lead naturally to the next, creating suspense and a sense of momentum.

🎬 Deliver the Payoff

Your crescendo is the moment of greatest impact. Plan a powerful visual, story, or moment that embodies your message and gives the audience something to hold onto. This is where the energy peaks and leaves a lasting impression.

When your event crescendos just right, it elevates the experience from a gathering to a transformative memory.

(Part 2)

IN MATTER OF FIVE SECONDS, HE POKED ME IN THE CHEST, AND I “HELPED” HIM TO THE GROUND.

🎬 was it because I was abused as a child?

🎬 was it because I was emotionally exhausted?

🎬 was it because he did just the right thing to trigger me?

🎬 was it because deep in my heart, it was time for me to move on?

🎬 was there something going on with him?

The answer is probably all of this.

And I should’ve seen it coming, but I had become a master at stuffing my emotions.

I WALED OUT THE NEXT DAY WITH MY LAST CHECK AS AN EMPLOYEE.

AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THAT COULD HAVE EVER HAPPENED TO ME.

There’s so much more as I have been living that story and learning from the lessons of my failures and my successes.

Each cracked and pristine memory has been a building block to who I am today.

HAVE YOU DEEPLY REFLECTED, LEARNED, and even celebrated the building blocks of your life.

I truly believe you’re here to do something miraculous and powerful and it’s my honor to encourage you and support you on this journey.
