Fort Bend County Judge KP George's dealings with Taral Patel are once again under scrutiny. At issue now is $11,000 in taxpayer money paid to Patel, who transitioned from being George's campaign manager and Chief of Staff to a paid consultant after he left for a position with the Biden Administration and began attending law school in Washington.

The Fort Bend County District Attorney's office has launched an investigation after the county's initial review failed to produce satisfactory answers about the consulting arrangement.

Specifically, prosecutors are seeking to determine what services, if any, Patel provided to earn the taxpayer-funded payments and when these services were performed.

New documents build case that KP and Taral manipulated the public together.

According to a new report by Fort Bend Independent publisher Seshadri Kumar, court documents have revealed further evidence that Fort Bend County Judge KP George and former commissioner candidate Taral Patel not only attempted to manipulate the public with fake information about Republican Commissioner Andy Meyers, they used similar tactics to harm Democratic Commissioner Dexter L. McCoy in a letter that misrepresented McCoy's position on aid to the homeless.

The photo below shows KP George presenting Taral Patel with a proclamation declaring Patel is the Fort Bend County Citizen of the Year even though Patel was not a citizen of the county when he was selected by George for the honor. Additionally, the declaration was not approved by Commissioners Court or any other body that would have reviewed other worthy candidates for the honor. Because Patel was not living in the county when he was declared its citizen of the year, George had to travel to Washington, D.C., to present the award to Patel who then used it in his unsuccessful campaign for commissioner.
