Well, well, well, what do we have here? Just my biggest art project to date! All of this started one day at 2:00 a.m.; a sketch followed by a few paper models and ultimately with a scale model made of foamcore...working out every detail first in 3-D scale. Begun in fury July of 2002 followed by a very long hiatus; work and building our other house slowed my progress on this “farmhouse”. Finally, as it stands today, I have only a few details to work through and some have been addressed since the photos were taken. So, to my family and friends who’ve wondered what the heck I’ve been doing this last year I present my iteration of our modern farmhouse; a house in the proper vernacular of 1890 on the outside and an open concept modern vision inside. Cheers, my friends! and thank you for your support!❤️💪🏻

It’s been too long since I’ve posted! My Facebook and Instagram friends have seen this already, but here I’m sharing “The Ashton”, a queen-size barnwood bed finished just in time to be picked up this weekend and taken to Denver!! Many thanks and gratitude to the Irvine family, my greatest advocates!!!

C2 Creative Concepts has moved from a horse barn in Union, KY to the Irvine Wood Recovery facility in Lockland, OH. Specifically, in Lincoln Hts, Northern Cincinnati. So happy to be in the wheelhouse of Irvine's operations and rubbing elbows with these amazing people! I brought in the last piece of my equipment last Tuesday and immediately began work on a television console. Monday morning will be the beginning of lots of exciting things yet to come! Stay tuned!

Thought I should post my activity. All palletwood planters and bowl/trays. Planters will also have finials and handmade handles, all receive stain and finish. Stay tuned for the Welded-steel stuff! It's good to be back in the shop!

It isn't much but it's pattern cutting day in the shop. I've been away for too long and now I'm pressed to complete my obligations; they will be done. Today I was just making patterns for some planter boxes and some bowls- all made from palletwood. Stay tuned because next up will be a welded steel wedding alter/arbor. Cheers!

C2creativeconcepts has taken a slight hiatus from production; I have been working hard at getting my youngest brother and his family situated in an awesome home. Completion is near then it's back to pumping out art and furniture. Thank you all for your continued support!

I had a pot that I threw 31 years ago while in school at Morehead State University. I had used native clay from Clack Mountain, near Morehead, and this pot was bisque fired but never glazed. We were going to our farm for the weekend so I thought, "now is a good time to raku fire that pot!" It was a success even though I had no glaze to be vitrified; the combustibles (dry grasses, black walnut husks ) did a nice job. Woodfired in an open pit then smothered with a small trash can...less is more. One more cliche...what's old is new again!

Getting to our farm letting some friends bowhunt while I stay near the house thinking about my next ten projects. It's good to be outdoors clearing the mind! Get outside!

Another one on the books; welded/painted steel. This pic taken as I hastily mounted it to a panel for a look see; bent a small area in the process but fixed that. This is not hung on its proper mounts which gives more shadows. On to the next project! This is about 5.5' x just under 4'.

This big dude needs a home. 52" x 40" x 18.5" steel and barnboard. It's heavy, has sharp edges, and is cold to the touch. Sound interesting? Give me a shout.

My new friends at Trailines, Westchester, Ohio, bought this table through my alliance, Irvine Wood Recovery, Lockland, Ohio. I delivered it yesterday and had help setting up from Eric with Irvine. Eric introduced me to John, Joe, Dixie, Wes, the other John, and Gary. Such a great group of people with whom to do business! I'm using a shop pic here because I had such a good time talking that I forgot my install shot. I can't wait to deliver their next table! Thanks to all involved yesterday. Oh, and thanks to Bridgette Walker for helping me load at the shop!
