Storytelling is not just for fiction writers. One of the best ways to engage your audience and help them remember the knowledge and wisdom you are sharing in your book is through storytelling! You see, we are wired for story and connect to facts and information when it is couched in a story. Research shows certain areas of the brain light up when we hear or read a story as opposed to hearing or reading straight information. And maybe that's why Jesus told stories to teach Kingdom principles.

The enemy will use anything to keep those of us called by God to write to stop us from writing what God has given us. So expect the distractions, the weariness, the brain fog, the "writer's block." There are spiritual dynamics at play when we choose to answer the call to write.

You can pray, you can rebuke all day long. Or you can cut to the chase and pick up that pen, open up that laptop, grab your tablet or phone, and WRITE! That is your weapon of choice!
