I’ve thought and thought about what I want to post since basically being off social media for a year and a half. I wanted to write something groundbreaking about the meaning of imperfection and how it relates to life and weddings but honestly that doesn’t feel real enough to me it feels cheesy.

Life lately has been really hard. It’s been chaotic. It’s been messy. It’s been exhausting. It’s had its bright spots but there’s also been a lot of long dark tunnels I’ve traveled through. There have been straight paths and hard right turns out of nowwhere.

So I guess here is the cheesy part (although all of it probably sounds cheesy). Life is imperfect and flawed it’s full of blemishes because it’s meant to be. (I don’t remember that enough.) As much as we want it to be and as hard as we try life is always going to throw us times we step on a dang Lego and get pooped on by birds when we are having the best hair day.

Truly though that’s the best part of life if you think about it. We don’t always know what’s coming at us and sometimes the cracks, the imperfections or hard right turns whatever you call them show us something unexpected, something real and a lot of times little buds of growth if you look hard enough.

So I’ll keep trying and I challenge you to too - I’ll try to embrace the messiness, the chaos, the unexpected twists and turns and the really hard moments. But I’ll also remember to think about the little wins even if it’s just washing the dishes for the day or getting outside with my kids.

So to my business I wanted to figure out how to be real and authentic with everyone in my personal posts and I realized Polaroids are the best way to do that - there are no retakes of the same moment - just raw real moments usually with some imperfection and maybe a mistake. Here is my first unfiltered photo to you my friends.

I am unapologetically a WWE fan and was able to go to smackdown live last night and it was seriously the greatest thing ever in a really long time. I got to laugh and scream and be the real me and see wrestlers I’ve always loved. It felt good to just have fun. Oh and I made a sign. 😆❤️

That big announcement I was talking about - well it’s t-minus a week until we launch our new website and name! Eeeek !

But I’m not good at keeping secrets so we are sharing our name tonight which is 🥰 …..

Hunter Crafted Films

Many many months ago I was having a conversation with a friend about redoing my website when she asked me a very thought provoking question

“do you feel like your current brand still represents your business and who you are now?”

I thought about it for a second and realized the answer was no - Reel Bliss Moments did not make sense anymore for a couple of reasons:

1. I started my business 7 years ago by myself and didn’t really have a vision in mind or any clue about anything related to branding or business stuff so I came up with the name Reel Bliss Moments and just went with it - there wasn’t any thought put into this - but it was the beginning

2. It’s not just me anymore - my husband Craig is with me at every wedding and every step of way. He’s supportive of me every single day whether it’s helping with video stuff or being super dad so I can work. He is the other half of our business and Reel Bliss Moments just didn’t make sense anymore with that in mind - so we chose something that fits both of us and our work

3. The now and the future. I feel like with Reel Bliss Moments we’ve hit a plateau and our new brand, name and website is allowing us to grow even further into who we are as a business and who we were meant to be

Once we officially decided to rebrand there was so much time and energy spent on figuring out who we were as a business and taking courses and learning as much as we could when we could and building a website. Honestly it’s so much more than that and we promise in the coming weeks we’ll dive a little more into the behind the scenes. For now just know we are so incredibly thankful for each and everyone of you who have helped us get to where we want to be today - it wouldn’t be possible without our amazing clients, friends and family.

Wedding season is in full swing along with the heat .. we’ve been so busy recently and are absolutely loving seeing all of our couples’ celebrations .. Samantha Hare and Jake were such a fun couple and you could tell that their love for each other ran deep ..
