Is it just me or does an aperol spritz taste like summer? 🍊🍹

Finally tried Frankie's Sips & Savories a few weeks ago, which had been on my list for a while! Tucked away on Garfield Place (such a quaint street), they have a charming patio and delicious Eastern Mediterranean fare. 🧆

We had the gem lettuce salad (highlight of the meal for me - 11/10 🌟), hummus with pita and veggies, falafel pita, arancini (bf’s fav) and chicken kebabs. The hummus could’ve used a bit more flavor imo, but Joe loved it and you could tell it was housemade. Overall, everything was delicious and the drinks were great as well. Can’t wait to go back and dine on the patio. ✨

The thing is, it’s going to be slightly different for everyone. When it comes to answering this question, it’s important to first ask yourself what YOU value as a business owner. 💭

Especially when it comes to small businesses, resources are often limited and it can be impossible to do it all. Allocating a significant budget toward digital marketing won’t make sense for every business, so here are some things to consider when deciding what will bring you the most value. 💰

⏱️ TIME. As a small business owner myself, I recognize how valuable your time is and that it’s also pulled in a dozen different directions. If time is something you value but don’t have enough of, working with a social media manager can free up a significant amount of energy to allow you to focus on other things. And if you enjoy doing your business’ social media but simply don’t have enough time, the best part is that you can still be involved — I welcome the opportunity to collaborate!

📈 GROWTH. Is your goal to grow your business, raise awareness, and reach as many potential customers as possible? If so, investing in social media, especially paid campaigns and influencer marketing, are key ways to go about this. But don’t forget about your organic presence — shareable/saveable content is another essential way to grow online, and when doing paid campaigns or collaborations, remember that your social media profile acts as a landing page.

👥 COMMUNITY. If business is steady and you primarily want to nurture your existing base, investing in email marketing and organic social media, such as community management and content development, are some of the best ways to bring value to your audience. Community management and social listening can give you a pulse on what resonates with your followers, allowing you to share content, offers, newsletters, etc. that they’re actually interested in.

One thing about me: I have a sense of humor, and I hope you do too. 🤠 At the end of the day, my work is serious, but social media is not. Let’s share memes, hop on silly trends, and have some fun here. (In fact, the top-performing post of all time for a client—an international beverage brand—is a meme I made in 10 minutes, so…)

💻 MY WORK EXPERIENCE:
I am a digital marketing professional with more than seven years of experience in media and communications. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in journalism from (go Bearcats!), I began my career leading a boutique agency specializing in radio and TV. During my five-year tenure, I learned the ins and outs of traditional media while simultaneously establishing new digital marketing services, including social media and website management. From there, I expanded my skill set at a creative communications agency specializing in food and beverage/hospitality, where I became a senior digital marketing manager and honed my skills as a social media strategist.

🤳 MY PERSONAL BACKGROUND:
Originally from NKY, I’ve lived in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood since 2016, and over the last 7-8 years, I’ve watched it take a new shape with restaurants, shops, studios and beyond. Living in this community has allowed me to be extremely dialed into Cincinnati’s vibrant dining scene, and I’m a trusted guide by friends and family for where to eat, what to do, and what’s new. I love exploring each of Cincinnati’s diverse neighborhoods, and there is always something to discover. I also love to travel and experience different cultures, to learn about the world and hear new perspectives, and I care deeply about making my community a better place. I enjoy working in social media in part because it allows me to tie together my personal interests with my work while also exercising both my creativity and business savvy.

Plotting my next meal at 🐌 Mostly French—yet completely delicious. After dining here 3-4 times now, I’ve found you can’t go wrong with just about anything on the menu. 🥐 Below are some of my favorite dishes I’ve tried and loved by friends as well. (Not everything is pictured because…well, I was hungry.)

🦆 Duck confit - so hard to get right and theirs is fall-off-the-bone tender 🤌
🐟 Icelandic cod
🧈 Ravioli - you’ll love the unique presentation
🍝 Cavatelli with lamb ragout
🥕 Carrot salad
🥐 Vol-au-vent

I also love the beet salad, but if you’re not a fan of horseradish, you may want to skip that one. All the desserts are delicious too depending what you’re craving, but if you’re a chocolate lover like me, the mousse is a perfect way to end your meal. 🍫🍨

Perhaps the thing I love most about social media is building and nurturing an online community. Social media allows the opportunity for consumers to intimately know you/your brand, and in return, you gain a better understanding of who they are and what they want.
