Update on the SPDIF I got the Frequency Lock Controller (FLC 14 pin microcontroller) working real well. Only 145 lines of code but with the Prism dScope III I can alter the SPDIF link speed and the damn thing locks in to 0.0001% on my frequency counter and to 8 digits the SCLK (bit clock = 2.8224MHz) and the received Master Clock (MCLK 11.2896Mhz) reads x4.0000000, max was x3.9999999 and 4.0000001. Jitter on this thing is so crazy good. Will build up this week and show the final. Can't wait to hear it.

Ok what am I working on:
1) SPDIF module for the Pelham 44.1K only with secondary custom made DPLL and VCXO.
2) WWA, the World Wide Guitar Amp with an international switching power supply. 15-20W depending on output tube complement. Will work anywhere from 90-260Vac. Optional 2A/9V isolated output for pedals. Low weight!
3) Taking suggestions for a tube guitar pedal. Have a couple of HV options.
4) Should have the first pics of Tube Cube DI soon.

Have a demo Brick with a little blemish on the side. PM me if you are interested. This is an N2 (latest) updated one with ODAM coupling caps. Standard isolated USB, custom controller, dual low jitter oscillators, new reclocker, NOS with reactor follower 12AU7A/ECC82 tube output using MagneQuest transformers.

Major Silver Audio Setup heading out next week. The epic Triton Silver Signatures, last ones! 300B power to 14W! Tempest Silver Signature matching preamplifier powered by dual 6922 selected tubes with pure silver output transformers in both units. The fronts of the Triton are done by a luthier with ebony base and silver and pearl inlay. I can make more Tempest preamps, but this is the last pair of Triton Silver Signatures. Look at the beast of the output transformer on that thing!

I am doing a lot of silver stuff. Here is a soon to be released VT52 custom stereo amplifier 5Y3GT, 2x 5842Q, 2x VT52. About 6W at 7Hz->42KHz. Super low noise, 10x Black Gates, Grid Chokes, Silver MQ outputs, Custom power transformer, MQ filter chokes. Will nail down the top panel, getting some Bendix 6106's tomorrow. Later this week I will show off a Silver Custom line Preamplifier and the last set of Triton Silver Signatures. Sorry all spoken for, but if your looking for something silver I have a lot in stock.

20 years ago I created the first Cosecant USB dac. I was like.... ok this is not going to amount to much. I turned it on connected to a white MacBook with an 80g firewire drive and some 40 cd's that I had ripped. I started dancing around like this is great. Sounds fantastic.
Well covid hit the transformer community pretty hard we lost Mike LaFevre of MagneQuest last summer and so no more transformers for the Cosecant. Here is the last one. This is the N2 version with a bunch of upgrades including the power supply. It will be at the Florida show then available.

New Product: Cardinal Twin
As many of you know we lost Mike LaFevre who designed all the audio transformers for me for decades. So I have been looking at my stock and was reminded of the first amplifier I made with MIke with the 300B. I took a Dynaco Stereo 70 chassis with their power transformer and covered the PCB area with a metal plate, put the 300B in one of the EL34 holes and the 6SL7 in front of it and created this amp with some custom outputs Mike made for me. I sold a couple of these with WE300B and Cetron 300B and even some with WE275As.
So today I am releasing the Cardinal Twin a stereo amplifier with a few upgrades and like 30 years of updates. All of these will use six Black Gate VK capacitors, ODAM coupling caps, Transformers all built in the USA, output transformers all MagneQuest custom, Sylvania 6SL7/6188 tubes, cherry wood chassis, USA gold terillium copper binding posts. Various 300B to your liking, 10W output per channel.
The following versions can be made:
Copper outputs 8 & 16 ohms
Copper outputs 4 & 8 ohms
Silver outputs 8 & 16 ohms upgraded binding posts and RCAs.
All the Silver amplifiers will also use MagneQuest power transformers. Limited quantities on all of the above till stock runs out. PM or email me if you are interested. Thanks, Gordon

Happy Birthday #20 for the Cosecant. I remember this day so well. I had an 80gb firewire drive hooked to a white MacBook and plugged in the Cosecant into the MacBook, selected it and played music. I remember thinking I should run outside and start yelling. I compared it to my $$$ SPDIF setup and it blew it away. 153 days later I showed at CES at Alexis Part and it was the hit at the show. Never had that much press before even for the Cardinal which had a number of awards.

Shipped out a beautiful Pelham with solid ebony front panel on Friday. The DN2 USB DAC module is something special. In the reclocking circuit that I use on the Brick and the Cosecant I needed an inverted and true phase output of the NOS DAC. Brick needed true and Cosecant needed inverterd. Then it thought what if I use both have dual dacs with a differential output then sum them in a line level transformer. That is the DN2 and it sounds great.

Isolation with the USB Spacelator. The reason I made this thing in the first place was my Prism dScope III would have a ground loop if the connected to the same computer as a USB DAC. Here's the difference. Red = Non-Isolated, Teal Blue = Isolated. It's especially nasty in the low end. A 1Khz sine wave was sent though.

So Phil received his Triton Signature Silver 300B amplifiers last week and got them into his system. He had some nice things to say:

So I updated this Silver Large Noggin Headphone to add a preamp output using some custom MagneQuest transformers I had sitting around and WOW. 8->93KHz -1dB this thing is killer. Dual 417A/5842A gain tubes and the Bendix 6754 rectifier (one of the best ever!).

Hey all I am releasing today the USB Spacelator v #1.12. The latest version has a very low noise linear regulator system. This is a HS/FS/LS isolator with super parts inside. The downstream portion of the USB is reclocked with a low jitter clock. This makes it perfect for isolating computers and streamers from your USB DAC or Interface.

Ok sold the Triton Signature Silver Amplifiers probably my best to date amp I ever made. Pure silver transformers everything balls to the walls here. Front is solid ebony with pearl and silver inlay. Wonderful sounding, up to 15W when using the GZ34 rectifier. Ships with 5R4GYB, CV378 Mullards and CV1377 Mullards (mill spec GZ34). Kernsy Spec 417A driving the new 300B.

I have enough silver outputs for two pairs of Napoleons. I bought some custom power transformers today from Mercury and have other parts from MagneQuest here (choke & output). Should I go with the large amp size, dual mono (single chassis) or small 8x10 size?

Cosine SPDIF dac came back for fixing. Pretty surprised simple bias of the 6GM8/ECC86. Fixed that up in a couple of minutes and this thing is working great. Not bad for a 30 year old design. I can't listen to it but I can test it.

USB Spacelator, so I ran 5 of these prototypes a while back and thinking of doing a small production run. This is a FS/HS USB Isolator and reclocker. It has an external supply to power the clean side VBUS and circuitry. In some cases we have seen up to 25dB difference in response. Here is a pic of a DAC (purple not isolated, red isolated) running the JTEST. If you have an N2 or DN2 dac of mine this is already inside so no need to get one.

Ok finishing up the prototype of the new preamp. 3 input analog, one module. There are 3 modules to choose from: MC Phono Preamp hybrid tube/transistor, Opto Isolated differential NOS DAC, Transformer Isolated analog input. The main unit will have dual 6418 directly heated tubes 18dB of gain and full remote. The remote will be done first as an IOS app. I do have code for Android and Apple Watch.

Working on the metal work all the circuit boards are in process.

November 28th, 1981 The PH1 prototype was born and the first Wavelength Audio product. Some of my college roommates said I made other products under WA, but this was the first real one. Solid state phono preamplifier. I am working on an all tube version called PH2 right now as well as a matching tube line stage.
