The latest project is a custom built XLR split snake for ’s in-ear monitor rig that will allow the band to send all stage inputs to both in-ears and front of house. This gives each band member full control of their individual live mix on a phone or tablet which is instantly recalled from gig to gig, helps minimize stage noise, and takes the monitor mixing task off the plate of the live sound engineer. Built with the best components while saving a ton of cash by DIYing. Special thanks to for help with the build!

Wiring up the studio mic panel! Spent a lot of quality time with my soldering iron for this one, but now we can pass all the mic inputs, headphone mixes, and audio returns between the tracking and control rooms for smooth-running sessions.

Plazmatic's latest single release was recorded at K**b and Tube and monastery studio and mixed by me! Mastered by Mystery Room Mastering. If you like instrumental jams, check this one out!

Plazmatic was born out of basement jam sessions between Cincinnati musicians who shared a passion for heavy grooves, 2-dollar chords, and expressive improvisation. The band, leaderless, functions democratically and is focused on collectively creating unique sounds.

Check out Scott's writeup on the in-progress build of our new studio space. He shares some of the principles and practical accommodations behind the design. Engaging with an acoustically-minded architect like Scott early in the design was critical to maximizing the functional & acoustic benefits of the space!

Music studios are one of our passions. They're extremely fun projects because we get to incorporate the acoustic science and building technology we love with a specific person or group's personality. Every studio has its own character, use, and workflow - and learning what that is and how to embody it in the built environment is an incredible experience.
