@americanolincolnpark located in the Hotel Lincoln, 1816 N. Clark St., Chicago, recently opened on Tuesday, June 18. The restaurant serves elevated classic dishes including fresh seafood, steak, burgers, and salads. The menu will appeal to a wide range of diners including hotel guests. The aesthetics of the interior come to life, with green plants hanging from the ceiling. The highlights of the room include the brass rail cocktail lounge, marble bar, and large patio with views of the park. The patio will also be dog friendly, offering pups fresh water & tasty treats. Some of our favorite dishes included their fresh seafood. For starters, the red snapper ceviche verde served with cilantro, serrano, avocado, olives, and lemon olive oil was divine. The fresh signature oysters Americano were delightful. They were topped with tobiko caviar, soy miso cucumber mignonette, and crispy shallots. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails like an espresso martini or a glass of wine from the curated wine list. As we sail towards spring, enjoy a romantic dinner cruise on the Chicago River with @citycruises @cityexperiences. The Odyssey Chicago River boat departs from the riverwalk esplanade, just south of the NBC Tower, offering a premier dinner cruise. Guests will enjoy spectacular city views from the warmth of an enclosed glass boat. Every table offers stunning unblocked views of skyscrapers. Diners will enjoy a three-course meal with delicious selections that are chef prepared on the boat. The menu features delicious starters like an italian sausage ravioli with crispy pancetta and pecorino romano cheese, as well as a butternut squash & kale salad with a maple sherry vinaigrette. For entrees, choose from four different dishes. We throughly enjoyed the tender demi-glace osso bucco over cauliflower polenta, oyster mushroom, and spicy red cabbage. Another great choice is the Atlantic striped bass over castelvetrano olives, braised cannellini, & fennel. It’s a creative and delicious dish. Make sure to save room for dessert. Other amenities include a cash bar, professional photographer, and a live dj. There’s a good chance of some dancing, after dinner. @marwenarts, located at 833 N. Orleans St. in Chicago hosted their 17th annual Art Fair: an exhibition, art auction, and fundraiser. Attendees were able to view and purchase works of original art created by Marwen students, alumni, teaching artists, and staff. The art fair gives young students enrolled in studio courses at Marwen an opportunity to exhibit and sell their art for the first time. Proceeds from sales go directly to the artists and Marwen’s no cost classes. The mission remains the same for Marwen. Chicago’s original pizza festival, @chicagopizzasummit returned this past weekend @royalpalmschicago. Pizza lovers enjoyed unlimited pizza slices, five drinks, and shuffleboard. It was a true celebration of pizza. Pizza aficionados were treated to an exclusive collaboration between @professorpizza and @ginoseast making its debut at the event. It was a Margherita deep dish topped with pesto, Parmigiano Reggiano, olive oil, fresh basil and oregano. The pizza represented a great mix of old school pizza with a new twist. I was in love at first bite. Other great pizza slices included @baccipizza, @dimospizza, @freddieson31st, @conniespizza, @fivesquaredpizza, and @paperplanepizza. There was even a giardinera station provided by @carusoprovisions and a salad bar from @kooshy croutons. Select proceeds from the event benefited the local non-profit @doughnatepizza: where dough does good. @chicago_gourmet celebrated Prost in the Park this past Sunday at the Harris Theater Rooftop at Millennium Park. The event was hosted by @chefsarahjayne from @monteverdechi. It was the perfect way to close out a weekend full of culinary festivities. Prost in the Park was a sun filled afternoon of fun with homemade wursts and cold beer. Many of the chefs created delicious hand crafted German inspired dishes. Some of the notable creations included @chefkapernaros from @avli who served up his house-made Greek sausage on a homemade bagel with caramelized onions and a mustard mayo sauce. @chefjup from @frontierchicago who created a homemade smoked duck andouille with smoked pineapple giardiniera. There were even dishes without sausage. Chef @juanmanjuan from @elchechicago served up a fire roasted oyster topped with bacon, smoked onion aioli, and spiced potato crumble. It was a fantastic bite. In fact, all of the chefs made delicious and creative bites. It was a great day to raise a pint in the air, while saying, “Prost!” #ChicagoStarMedia Video & Article: @anthonymartorina

The Great Gatsby Party swung into Chicago last night, for an all night soirée fit for Jay Gatsby himself! 🥂 Guests were transported back to the roaring twenties for one night at Chicago’s Union station, for an elaborate and decadent party in the historic building. Attendees channeled the 1920s spirit, donning beaded head pieces, elegant dresses, and tailored suits for the exclusive occasion.
