4 Star Casting is excited to announce The Bear, The Bear, The Bear is Back!

We start back on Season 4 sometime in February 2025! Production is still working on the schedule.

We would love it if everyone would start updating their profiles now, so you are good to go when the cameras start rolling!

Entertainment Partners, the parent company of the POP platform - now known as the EP Casting Portal - that we use at 4 Star Casting, has sent an email saying that you will need to reset your password and set up two-step authentication moving forward.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) will be required for all users accessing the 4 Star Casting EP Casting Portal!

MFA enhances security and reduces the risk of unauthorized access by providing an extra layer of protection.

What You Need to Do:
Beginning December 14th, you must reset your password and set up MFA on your mobile device before logging in to the platform. Step-by-step instructions can be found at https://www.ep.com/mfa/castingportal/

A dedicated support team is standing by to help you 24/7, should you need assistance. Hit the Contact Button, and then select "Crew, Talent and Background Support."

If easier, you can visit our website at www.4starcasting.com, then hit the "Log into the EP Casting Portal" tab. If you hover over the tab, there is a "MFA Instruction Page" to assist as well. Downloading the suggested APP PingID to your phone is the easiest method.

If you were on the show last season as a stand-in or front-of-the-house / kitchen staff, please send an email to [email protected] to remind us - in the subject line, please list the actual role that you played/2024 (Be Specific). In the bulk of the email, please include your name, role, phone number, email, and measurements, including shoes. Please confirm you have updated your profile and gone through the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) process.

If you have front-of-the-house (host, wait staff, bus boy, etc) OR kitchen staff (dishwasher, prep, expediter, line cook, Pastry Chef, Sous-Chef, Head-Chef, etc) experience, and want to be considered, please send an email with the subject line with either "front of house" or "kitchen staff" and in the bulk of the email include your name, position (be exact), number of years experience, knife skills level (if applicable), phone, email and measurements. Please confirm that you have a profile on the EP Casting Portal. If you have not registered with us, you will need to do so to be considered. You will need to set up Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) the first time you register with us.

We may also be looking for Caucasian babies, preferably twins, age range of 2 to 6 months. Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: Infant, please include name(s), age (be exact), parent/guardian name, phone and email. If you have a work permit for your child(ren), make sure to attach a copy. If you do not have a work permit for your child and need information on how to obtain a work permit, please let us know that as well.

Productions are just starting to get up and running, and decisions are still being made on crew, so please be patient while things continue to run behind the scenes.

Highlights from 2024 included major studio productions, but we also cast several independent projects, including some on-camera principal talent. We appreciate all of you and love when we can provide opportunities to move to the next level.

Remember, we don't post every project on the page, so keeping your POP profile up-to-date is helpful when choosing the talent to check for availability for our projects.

Missing a payment?
Please note: 4 Star Casting Inc. dba 4 Star Casting is not the Employer of Record, so if you are missing a payment, your first recourse should be to directly contact the payroll company.

The production company and/or the third-party payroll company contracted by the production company is your Employer of Record, and this information will be needed if you have to report earnings for unemployment purposes, and for any tax documents you may need. 4 Star Casting will never be your Employer of Record, and is not responsible for unemployment claims, nor do we retain any tax documents.

If you do not receive a voucher for a project, such as commercials/industrials, etc, which will have the Employer of Record listed on the voucher, because you are paid via W-9, we strongly suggest that you take a photo of any paperwork related to payment. Suppose you are being paid by electronic voucher. In that case, the Employer of Record information is on the system you sign on to review your voucher, i.e., Epic/Elevate, EMS/VonSet or POP (if Entertainment Partners is using Smart Voucher.)

While we understand that processing issues can happen on our end, we also need you to be aware of which payroll company is paying you, and only after reaching out to them, reach out to us.

DO NOT reply to any emails for availability checks, bookings, and/or call info with questions about a past payment. We will not respond to payment questions that are not submitted correctly.

Please keep in mind, that non-union major productions in town can take up to 4 weeks for payment to arrive, and for non-union smaller, independent projects and commercials, payment can take up to 90 days. SAG projects mail checks 15 business days after the first session.

Please only contact 4 Star Casting if you have exhausted all other methods, but still contact us promptly after those above timeframes have passed. If the production company has wrapped the accounting department, it makes it very difficult to correct the issue.

You should send payment inquiries as a separate email to the booking/show email after the above timeframes have passed. You must include your full name, phone, email address, and the date of the missing payment. You should let us know if the payment was for a Fitting or Film Date. You should put PAST PAYMENT INQUIRY / NAME OF PROJECT in the subject line.

If a show or film has wrapped, you may send a payment question with the above information to [email protected].
You should also understand that we do not always deal with payment-related issues the exact moment you send in the inquiry, it may take a few days for someone on the casting team to address the email.

"CHRISTMAS IN CHICAGO" IS HERE!!! Earlier this year, we had the wonderful opportunity to work on Three Lifetime Media's newest feature film, "Christmas in Chicago," and the premiere dates are happening this week! See below for ticket information ($15/each), ALL are invited to attend, and dress attire is Christmas Sharp. The producers are still in negotiations with various distributors, their goal is to finalize everything by the end of Q1 2025, but for now, LET'S GO ENJOY SOME CHRISTMAS MAGIC ON THE BIG SCREEN! CALLING ALL PARENTS!!!!! MINORS PROFILE UPDATES!!!!

Hi Parents!
It has come to our attention that some of your children's work permits are not up to date. We ask that you please check to make sure that you have uploaded a current/valid work permit for each of your children as well as change the status in the questionnaire email so that we know that you have completed this step. Children are not able to be booked without a valid/current work permit and it makes our lives as well as yours and productions easier if the document is uploaded to your child's Minors POP profile. We have a huge block party scene coming up in the next week on THE CHI Season 7 where we will need kids ages 6-16 and would love to add your children to that scene so please try to complete this ASAP!!

⭐️Once you have signed up with us, you are eligible to submit for projects we post via our page.

⭐️Please note that registering with us does not guarantee employment.

⭐️If you are right for the project (you meet the qualifications we are looking for as posted), we do our best to let you know that you have been submitted to the production for possible selection by the director.

⭐️It is not always possible for us to do this notification because of time restraints, but we do our best.

⭐️ It is a multi-layered process to work on one of our projects: It will include filling out an availability check master survey for each project, specific checks regarding your availability to work on certain dates, a booking email, and then, a call details email that has all the specifics requirements for filming, i.e., call time (time to show up on set), parking instructions, location, hair/make-up and wardrobe directions, and the DOs AND DON'Ts on set.

ATTENTION!!! WE ARE UPDATING OUR AVAILABILITY CHECK PROCESS!!!

Hello, everyone!

**PLEASE NOTE: The following changes will be happening for all projects moving forward EXCEPT for Durango 60623, as that show is already well underway.

Our teams at 4 Star Casting are going to be transitioning to a new way of sending you all availability checks through POP.

Instead of sending general availability checks each week asking for your availability for the entire following week or the duration of an episode, we are going to send a general questionnaire per project that asks our typical casting questions–i.e. car information, food allergies, stand-in experience, etc.

You must answer each questionnaire per project. We would love it if you only had to complete it once for all our projects, but due to differing vaccine mandates and specialties required for each project that is not possible.

Only after answering the questionnaire will you be considered for a project. Then, we will send out a MINI availability check that will only ask for your availability for specific dates related to roles that we are booking at that time.

With projects that are not enforcing a Covid-19 vaccination mandate, the questionnaire will replace initial interest checks. Additionally, for commercials and smaller projects, you will receive the questionnaire along with the specific dates for the project to answer all at the same time.

We are hoping this will streamline the process for both our teams and you all. We are excited for an amazing year of work to come!
