If you're a Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 resident, parent or taxpayer, what's your reaction to the district's proposed $98 million referendum? It would make your property tax bill go up about $400 a year--for the owner of a home with $400,000 property value, and about $600 more per year for the owner of a $600,000 home. The south end of Park Ridge already has the Blue Line, but this could be more convenient for people on the north end of town.. Here's how the trial of the off-duty Chicago police sergeant accused of wrestling a Park Ridge 14-year-old to the ground, and pinning him there, wrapped up. Also, the kid who actually stole the bike expressed great remorse.

During trial for off-duty Chicago Police sergeant Michael Vitellaro, charged with aggravated battery and official misconduct, lawyers on both sides made accusations of lying.
