Brought some of my gear to Steve Albini's Electrical Audio to record Natalie Merchant with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for a few wonderful days. It was like being at the Abbey Road of Chicago. Amazing musicians. Killer room. And my co-engineer Mathieu LeJune kept us all on target. The Barefoot Footprint 001s really filled up the control room with all the beautiful music. Heading back in April for another round!

Pretty chuffed to be on the Grammy consideration list for both Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (Natalie Merchant) & Best Engineered Album, Classical (Notre Dame Folk Choir).
Natalie’s album was the first album I mixed in my new Chicago studio to that feels pretty good.

Very proud to have worked on this project with J.J. Wright and The University of Notre Dame Folk Choir. And it’s exciting to see my name on the Engineered Album, Classic list this time. Traveling to Jerusalem to capture these wonderful musicians was an experience I will never forget.
