An inspiring book by Becky Cortesi-Caruso.

Throughout my life, I often heard the question, what would you do if you were granted one wish? I was fascinated by people’s responses. What do you think the answer to this question would be? World peace? A functional family? Good health? End poverty? On the contrary, many people “said” or “replied” that they wanted to win the lottery and have all the money in the world.

This question has resonated with me for a very long time. Why do people wish for money? I could never imagine wishing for any amount of money to make me happy.

I learned when I was younger that no amount of money could bring me happiness. In my humble opinion, our life experiences, and our outlook on life define our happiness. Therefore, the only wish that I would have ever wanted was to spend one more day with my beloved father, who died over three decades ago.

My father was my best friend, my mentor, and an absolute inspiration to me. There is no amount of money in this world that could bring me the happiness that my father brought me. I began thinking about the people closest to me and if they felt the same way: if they had one wish, would they choose to spend the day with a loved one who died?

For One More Wish explores not only my personal journey through grief but also shares the narratives of those people who were courageous enough to write to me. It takes a great deal of transparency and courage to write about having one more day with the person you loved the most in your life. The amazing people in this book wrote authentically about what their day would look like while transcending through their own grieving process.

Joshua Tree Publishing is proud to announce its latest book, M.I.A. A Story Inspired by True Events

During World War II, Maria received a letter from the Romanian army stating that her husband went M.I.A., and they had to declare him officially dead.

However, a letter she received from her husband, just before the letter she received from the Romanian army, drove her to believe that her husband was still alive, and his disappearance was not accidental.

Therefore, a death certificate and his dog tags didn’t convince Maria that her husband was dead, and she refused to have a funeral service for him.

From that moment on, Maria decided to wear his dog tags around her neck until she would find the truth about what happened to her husband In Odessa—and hopefully reunite with him, regardless of how difficult it might be.

Bogdan Sopterean was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, which is located in the beautiful region of Transylvania—yes, the region where Dracula was born. In 2002, Bogdan decided to move to America. His true passion for writing came at a difficult time in his life, but at that moment, he discovered that writing books is his calling and that he will never stop writing. Presently, Bogdan and his lovely wife Natali live in Illinois with their beautiful fifteen-year-old daughter Sydney and their dog Grace.

Congratulations to Herbert Stepherson on his new book from Joshua Tree Publishing.

“It is in sharing our struggles and vulnerabilities that we connect with others and inspire change in them. Empathy and experience are some of our most powerful connecting points. By offering my own personal struggles, I hope to let others know that they are not alone, and that there is always hope, even in the darkest of times.

“No one should ever feel ashamed for struggling mentally. Going to therapy for mental health should be as normal as going to a doctor for a broken leg. No one is a lost cause, and no one should ever be made to feel that way. Each and every human being on this planet should be given the opportunity to experience love and be given opportunities to turn their lives around. We never truly know what someone has gone through in their personal life. If we want to truly help someone, the most important thing we can do is listen to them. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you have been through, you can become anything you set your mind to. I hope you overcome the struggles you tell no one about.

“This world needs the healed and healthy version of you.”
Herb Stepherson founded Genesis of Recovery, an intervention firm that helps any and all who suffer from the disease of addiction. Since beginning his own recovery and healing journey, Herb has authored two books, given a TEDx talk, founded a domestic non-profit organization, and given his heart to God.

Though he will undoubtedly struggle with mental health issues for the rest of his life, his mission is to make this world a better place.

New article today by Lisa Zarcone
Abandonment—What Does This Word Mean To You?
Emotional abandonment is a subjective emotional state in which people feel undesired, left behind, insecure, or discarded. People who experience this may feel loss, cut off from loved ones, and left feeling withdrawn from life. Not worthy.
This is a strong and powerful emotion, but sounding somewhat clinical in definition.
Let’s get to the meat of this topic.
When a child is growing up the three main things that they naturally crave are love, safety, and acceptance/belonging. If they are getting these wonderful emotions, it is so full-filling that the child will thrive in their environment. They embrace the feeling of wanting to branch out and excel to the highest degree because they are fueled by a solid foundation. All children should feel this way, but that is not the reality.
