Putting final touches on Robert Fleischmans new Project Emotional Atlas...From his early work with Journey and Vinnie Vincent, this is a much more personal collection of songs. His skills as a painter and a singer have come together in a diverse musical "album". I love it when the week starts with another great session! Pictured are Tommy Sanchez (gtr) Chris Hambone Cameron (Producer/Keys) Larry Beers (Drums) and Ron Hall (Bass)... These guys laid down a fabulous version of Willie Nelsons "Night Life". Willie would be so proud!

Today was an incredibly “Horny” day..haha..Another amazing session with some of the worlds finest horn players. A five piece ensemble featuring Mark Ohlsen (trumpet), Tom Bales (trumpet), Steve Eisen (tenor sax), Andy Baker (trombone) and John Bowes (baritone sax). Thanks to Hambone for keeping the music flowing and bringing the heat with amazing arrangements and creative production. If anybody needs brass on their record, these are the cats.

A blessing to have some of the best “Chicago session cats” all in the same studio together at Stonecutter Studios! Pictured are Larry Beers (Drums), Ron Hall (Bass), Tommy Sanchez (guitar), and the ridiculously talented Chris ‘Hambone’ Cameron (Producer/keys). We’ve just laid down two absolutely fabulous basic tracks for a guitar-based tip of the hat to some Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer songs (Sinatra). Since this is an old Al Capone Building ( Beer Storage ) there’s a sense of history in the building that makes an old school music feel at home. Stay tuned for the big reveal of the artist behind this special project. Also, that one shot of Larry’s shirt looks very 3D – talk about style!

Another Great session with David and Jeremy from Outdrejas! High Energy, powerful Rock and Roll is what these guys ( and Gal ) do so well. This 100 watt Marshall MK2 Lead Guitar Amp was given to me by kiss in 1993 while doing the Revenge Record. The Song “God Gave Rock and Roll to You” was the first track we did for the Movie Bill and Ted Bogus Journey End Credits. Doing that track got me the gig to do the whole project with the Legendary Rock Gods and one of the greatest Music producers ever at the helm..Bob Ezrin ( Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Peter Gabriel ). The guitar tones were so good that Paul Stanley actually thanked me on MTV..Wow..Recording Engineers rarely get that kind of Love. I still use this one of a kind amp all the time and most guitarists make me an offer because it sounds sooo good. I still love recording Rock Guitars but I even run vocals and various instruments through it to get some sweet distortion effects. I was grateful for the Amp in 1993 but I am still humbled by the whole experience. Thanks to Rick Cruz Amps for the awesome Stonecutter Emblem in the style of Marshall as it never had one since Ive had it. Another note to amp nerds..It has a modification by The Great Mike Soldano of an additional preamp gain stage..This was done for Kiss before I ever owned it and it’s just another thing that makes it unique. I plan to do a Marshall head shoot out Video in the near future for my YouTube channel..so if your curious on how it sounds and “stacks up” stay tuned!

Always love it when my 1974 Les Paul Custom makes an appearance! I bought this gem when I was 12 years old . It has served me well on over 1000 recordings ( Including Kiss! ) and many gigs. About 14 years ago when I met Les Paul, He signed the Pick Guard..."To Chris" "Keep Picking"...Classic. Les hung around after his gig and talked with everyone that lined up to meet him! What a Gentlemen and Rockstar. He actually invented Electric guitar and spear-headed multitrack recording. Genius! Fantastic Vocal session with Kameron Richardson and Jisel Ayon for “When The Sun Goes Down” from Hamilton. It will be in a film release later this season.
