Update. I have no more scheduled travels in my calendar for the remainder of the year. This summer has been something else. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to travel for weddings and video work this year but I am exhausted (I plan on counting the miles, stay tuned for that). I couldn’t be happier to edit from my home office for the rest of the year (but I won’t say no to any out of state/country work 😉). I’ll will be releasing a photo/video delivery schedule soon. I hope everyone’s summer is going well.

Gosh, where do I start…

Katie & Zack, Zack & Katie, Kack( you know when they combine celebrity couple names) , or Zatie (kinda cute, not gonna lie).

Anyway, I’ll go with Katie and Zack. Thank you, for letting me capture your beautiful “I do date”. I met Katie and Zack during their engagement photo session about a year ago. We walked around their neighborhood, got some soda, ice cream and even shredded a bit (that’s another word for skateboarding for you non skaters, jk I actually I don’t know if that’s a thing, I’m just trying to sound hip). A few months later Katie reached out about possibly capturing their wedding, the process of planing a larger wedding was weighing in on them, so they elected to do something different. Weddings are overwhelming, even with a wedding planner and all the help in the world. Anyway, I was down to capture Katie and Zack’s wedding day.

Fast forward to yesterday. I met them at their Pilsen apartment, where I met Nacho (their cute cat) and captured some getting ready photos. We then took the train into the city to meet up with their immediate family at city hall. We were a tad bit late but that didn’t stop them from tying the knot. The ceremony took no longer than 15 minutes and we were off on the train back to their apartment where the family caught up with one another, talked about plates, and had some delicious cake. I later met up with them at Dusek’s where Katie and Zack exchanged some words, had dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed the first day as a married couple.

I wish Katie and Zack the best. Thank you to their family for being so nice to me, and I hope Nacho got to try some of that cake.

I photograph weddings, events, and life candidly. It’s also known as reportage or documentary photography. The art of capturing an accurate representation of people, places, objects, and events. I don’t pose or fake a scene, I just capture things as they unfold as accurate and artistically as I can. Cheers. Corey and Diana had a danced filled wedding in the Avondale area in the north side of Chicago.

How am I? I’m good, thank you for asking. Aside from finishing up my holiday shopping and going Xmas treeI cutting I’ve just been working on finish up the videos I owe.

It has been a busy year to say the least, but despite that, I was able to get in a few family sessions this past weekend. I like to capture moments that my clients may never even realized happened. Why? To help paint the picture of the whole day, not just the moments “I am supposed to photograph”. For example, in this photograph one of the quinceañeras cousin is on a swing, relaxing after formals and before heading to the hall. I absolutely loved this and I hope the family does too.
