The Lion Review Foundation is a Chicago-based, but national-reaching, organization with the idea of human community at its core. The heart of the Foundation is the Lion Review Magazine (TLR), a publication that culminates a variety of literature and media in order to express the idea of community love (or philia). zing body through which we put the idea of human community into action. We believe in community love on the global scale, that is, we believe that as part of being human, we exist in a global human community and that we ought to expose and personalize the suffering of others and work to alleviate it. The Magazine
The magazine was started by Immanuel Sodipe (Editor-in-Chief) and Eduardo Martinez (Senior Editor) in 2012 and has been growing steadily ever since. Through the Committee on Civic Engagement, the two have expanded The Lion Review’s philanthropic work by implementing NOVOUTING which has become the crux of the TLR’s idea. Long-form journalism, short stories, poetry, humor, and satire are just a few of the types of literature featured in TLR. Get Involved! There are ways you can get involved in The Lion Review Magazine. First, if you write short stories, poems, draw cartoons, or are just artistically inclined, send your submissions to [email protected] with your first and last name in the subject line as well as the genre of your work. Second, and perhaps the most important, is sharing our work. As an independent publication, we do not have the means to run a large marketing project.
