A new chapter of the begins Saturday! This week will be showcasing the best rivalry in the CPL. Yesterday we went behind the scenes with Coach CJ and his Morgan Park Mustangs as they prep for the big game! Today we slid a few miles north on Vincennes to lock in with Coach Que and his Simeon Wolverines as they get ready for their biggest test since a week 1 loss to the Rochester Rockets.

Bears Nation will have to wait at least another week to see Caleb Williams throw his first TD as the offense was shut down for the 2nd week in a row in a 19-13 loss to the Houston Texans. The Bears defense did their part holding an explosive Houston offense to 19 points. The more things change....

The Cubs fell to 39-46/11.5 games back in the division after a 7-1 loss to the 1st place Milwaukee Brewers. Kyle Hendricks gave up 7 runs in the bottom of 4 while the Cubs were held hitless/scoreless for the last 8 innings. I put a bow on the afternoon at American Family Field!

**Craig Counsell was visibly frustrated postgame as his team was DOMINATED today...a poorly constructed roster + your best players stinking up the yard = bottom feeders. There is still a LOT of baseball left with a month until the trade deadline but right now this team looks DONE!

Carl Edwards Jr. opted out of his minor league contract with the Cubs over the weekend and is now a free agent. Yes this guy...and for a team that's had major bullpen issues & he wasn't given a shot speaks volumes.

Jr. said he had no idea why the Cubs would even reach out & show "interest" if he wasn't gonna be given a fair shot...should've made the 40 man out of spring & posted a 1.85 ERA with 22 Ks in 20 games/24.1 innings for Triple-A Iowa.

About the Chicago Sky incident yesterday, Angel Reese being fined $1K for not making herself available to the media postgame & the team being fined $5K for failing to comply with media policies -

Chennedy Carter should've simply addressed the lil incident & put it to rest. I had no issue with what she did ESPECIALLY since CC is out there selling woof tickets. All u WNBA purists/"players are jealous of CC" gotta cut the s**t. How about this is the W & these are grown women.

10 minutes??? The last few seasons we sat in those pressers for 30-45 mins a FEW times with other disgruntled media who had deadlines & were worried they wouldn't meet them due to the Sky PR teams lack of accountability!

And for those that are UNAWARE...players are obligated to talk to media. That is part of their job requirement & in the case of the W there's no locker room access so if Angel Reese was requested then she was supposed to talk. AGAIN...ineptness on the PR side.
