Homer Glen Trustee Sue Steilen, with only four months in office, cast the sole vote to raise taxes on July 12, 2023. This decision impacts property values and burdens residents. Now, Steilen is running for Township Supervisor, despite previously expressing support for dissolving the township. Dissolving the township would shift control to Will County, leading to inevitable tax hikes and removing local oversight. This is the same county that attempted to impose unwanted truck routes on Hadley Road and 143rd Street. On February 25, 2025, vote for Steve Balich and the Freedom Caucus to save Homer Township, keep taxes low, and maintain local control. Vote against larger government and protect your community.
