Lagos Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunboh Wahab, responds after NAFDAC rebukes his claim that its enforcement agents were the ones caught on camera destroying bags of sachet water
On Sunday, Wahab released a statement reacting to claims that the state govt officials were out destroying sachet water while enforcing its ban on sachet water. Wahab in his statement stated that the state government has not banned sachet water in the state. With regards to the viral video of a man bursting bags of sachet water, Tokunboh said the man is not an official of the state government. He stated that upon investigation, it was confirmed that the individuals in question are enforcement officers from the NAFDAC
NAFDAC however reacted via their X handle saying the persons in the viral video are not their officials.
This morning Wahab in his reaction said Based on initial information, 'it was believed they might be linked to NAFDAC.
