Aspiring journalist and media personality!
Isaiah Fourté (Herard) is the founder of Fourté Media, a revolutionary media and communications company in pursuit of broadcasting organic content from the perspectives of different subjects through audio, video, and written forms. Isaiah Fourté (Herard’s) Story:
Isaiah and his family have been living on the southside of Chicago, Illinois since he was born in 1996. He lived with a total of 6 family members (including a dog, rest in peace!) before pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Journalism, which he successfully acquired in May of 2019 at Western Illinois University.
During 2016 at Western Illinois University, Isaiah discovered the art of writing as a legitimate gift of his when his housemate’s then-girlfriend, asked him to edit and provide feedback on one of her graduate-level assignments. The professor suggested his edits were of prestigious status and led to his founding of Fourté Media as a writing and tutoring business while he was in school.
Over time, he grew the business in the rural area of Macomb, Illinois to the magnitude that all of his peers deemed him as the “go-to” source for all writing and editing endeavors.
The above journey foreshadowed Isaiah’s self-proclamation as one of the greatest writers of the modern era, which led to his successful tenure as a News Editor and Beat Reporter at the Western Courier Student Newspaper before receiving an internship at WTTW Channel 11 - Chicago Tonight.
During his time at WTTW Channel 11 – Chicago Tonight, Isaiah Herard learned how to video edit, transcribe effectively, and survive in a major multimedia market. As News Editor of an award-winning newspaper at Western Illinois University, Isaiah demonstrated profound leadership in developing his news staff and reporting the Macomb city news at a high level.
Becoming a copyeditor, general assignment reporter, and News Editor of the award-winning paper developed Isaiah’s understanding of multimedia operations.
Early life
Isaiah Fourté (Herard) was born in Chicago, Illinois, elated to represent the city’s monumental southside. Born to an American mother and Haitian father, Isaiah identifies with Haitian-American community members as he was fortunate enough to have his Haitian grandparents move to America in search of a better quality of life.
While Isaiah is accustomed to the rigors of living within the city of Chicago such as gang violence and impoverished circumstances, he never became a product of his external environment as he observed the concept of “hustle” internally on both sides of his family. His father, uncle, and grandfather embraced the idea of entrepreneurship through real estate and property management while the women in his family instilled the concept of hard work.
As a child, Isaiah was initially determined to become a lawyer, journalist, or NBA basketball player, whichever came first. Often recognized as a bright individual amongst his peer, he remains determined in unleashing his full potential as a multimedia mogul.
In his early teens, Isaiah obtained a job at County Fair Foods while attending Brother Rice High School. He would often complain to his mother about the rigors of working a job that pays pennies on the hour while other people in the world make less to do more. It was then that she sparked the idea for him to trailblaze his own path to success.
Interested in creative works such as writing, video editing, and multimedia content, Isaiah is determined to be recognized as a credible journalist, writer, and author.
