July is Disability Pride Month, a time to honor and recognize the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. This month is all about promoting visibility and mainstream awareness of the positive pride felt by people with disabilities.

💡 What is Disability Pride Month?
Disability Pride Month began as a way to commemorate the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990. It’s a time to celebrate diversity and uniqueness, while also advocating for the rights, independence, and inclusion of people with disabilities.

📚 Why is it Important?

1. Awareness: It helps increase awareness and understanding of disabilities.
2. Advocacy: It brings attention to the ongoing fight for equal rights and opportunities.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month here are some important facts about Breast Cancer Awareness:

1. **Breast Cancer is Common:** Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women worldwide, but it can also affect men, although it's much less common.

2. **Early Detection is Key:** Detecting breast cancer at an early stage significantly increases the chances of successful treatment. Regular mammograms and self-exams are important tools for early detection.

3. **Pink Ribbon Symbol:** The pink ribbon is the widely recognized symbol for breast cancer awareness. It serves as a reminder to educate, support, and raise awareness about the disease.

4. **Breast Self-Exams:** Women are encouraged to perform regular breast self-exams to become familiar with the normal look and feel of their breasts, which can help in detecting any changes.

5. **Mammograms:** Mammograms are X-ray images of the breast tissue and are commonly used for breast cancer screening. Guidelines for when to start mammography can vary by age and risk factors.

6. **Risk Factors:** Several factors can increase the risk of developing breast cancer, including genetics, family history, hormone levels, and lifestyle choices.
