Greetings to ALL this is the information for the BBQ COOK-OFF.

APRIL 5, 2024
ALL interested contestants are EXTREMELY encouraged to attend a ZOOM regulations meeting on April 5, 2024 at 3PM. *** This is NOT a mandatory meeting, however, if you do not attend and miss out on pertinent information, we will be hold harmless. MAY 3, 2024
ALL contestants that are going to participate MUST be cleared by the City of Chester and have ALL paperwork submitted to the City of Chester along with the Vendor registration fee

MAY 3, 2024-Registration to participate in the cook-off is $104.50. Please note that this FEE is separate from what the City of Chester requires (this is not something that WGCD controls).

June 22, 2024 (1st TENTATIVE DATE for Cook-Off), please note that a 2nd date is given in case of inclement weather. This is SC and it could be "Cloudy with a chance of MEATBALLS" lol!
September 21, 2024 (ALTERNATE DATE for Cook-Off).

There will be a total of (4) judges.
Each team is allowed to have up to (4) team members
ALL meat will be supplied and purchased by the HOST.
Cooking will take place on-site

There will be a MAX of 12 teams.
1st Prize $1000
2nd Prize $500
3rd Prize $250
PEOPLE’S CHOICE category- - - -WINNER will receive a Trophy and PIT-MASTER BASKET

******MORE official details will be supplied once the contestants are COMPLETELY registered and have VENDOR clearance from the City of Chester. Remember this is an AT will AT risk competition. GOOD LUCK!!!!
