CHESTER CITY: Puppies young and old lining up today for vaccinations.
Providence Animal Shelter is back in the city at the 700 block of Morton Ave in Chester, helping dogs get their vaccinations for free. Dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Huskies from puppies to senior dogs lined up the parking lot. All getting their free vaccinations.
The program was in partnership with New Life Ministries and Chirp who aided with the location and promotion of the event. Volenteers from Providence Animal Center lead the event and administered the vaccines.
The free event did require applicants to register beforehand with availability filling up quickly. Due to the events popularity, Providence Animal Shelter stated more free vaccine events like this one are coming in the near future.

CHESTER CITY: The search for the 6 year old girl who had fallen into the Chester Creek has now tragically deescalated to a Recovery Effort. Chester's Fire Commissioner during a press conference has stated that recovery efforts will continue until 5PM when it will be suspended until the next day.
Chester's Mayor Stephen Roots, has stated that efforts will be made to prevent this tragedy from occurring again. These efforts include measures to prevent access to the creek. "Your Children deserve safe places to play" Mayor Stefan Roots said to the press.
"This is an extremely sad day for the City of Chester," The Mayor continued. "This is a community that will wrap its arms around those are hurting or who are in need."
The maximum window of her survival was estimated at 3 hours.
CHESTER CITY: The search continues for the girl who fell into Chester Creek.
Rescue teams are out again,attempting to rescue little Lin'ajah, a 6-year-old girl who fell into the Chester Creek last night.
Rescue teams last night were dispatched to the creek just after 7 PM last night in a desperate attempt to save the girl. After more than 3 hours with Lin'ajah nowhere in sight, the search was temporarily suspended around 10PM.
This morning since 8AM the rescue teams are back with the weather and sunshine on their side with hopes of finding the girl or at least giving her family closure.
We are going to make every attempt that we can to get closure for the family by finding the young lady who is in the creek," Chester City Mayor Stephen Roots said.

ZeiNews: On September 3rd, 2023 at approximately 1:45 AM a major multi-lane vehicle wreck on I-95 South just after the Commodore-Barry Bridge near the Highland Ave and 322 West Exit.
The crash caused 2 out of the 3 southbound lanes to be shut down temporarily. The Driver was reportedly was 'slumped over' and 'unconscious' inside the wreaked vehicle when the 911 call was placed. Chester City Fire Department Companies 81 and 83 along with Pennsylvania State Troopers, Chester City Police Department and CCMC Ambulances had responded to the scene.
No further information of the condition of the driver is available at time of writing.
Significant traffic slowdown near 14th and Edgemont Ave heading towards downtown Chester. This is due to Edgemont Ave Bridge is currently receiving fence maintenance.
ChesteR City: Last night firework show at Chester's Subaru Park over the water. The Philadelphia Union had a excellent night winning 5 - 1 against their opponent. The night show had a high turnout and was a large success.

CHESTER CITY: A Fire broke out on the 200 Block of Trainer St causing a 4 Bell fire, reports say.
Witnesses reported that the fire can be seen as far as Zeitro HQ, Dollar General, West 9th St, Kerlin St, and Aston Township.
The fire caused a partial building collapse and the closures of route 291, West 3rd st, Booth St, Trainer St and more.
Power was lost in the surrounding communities up until Highland ave to preventing the fire from spreading. No injuries has been reported.
The site was a former Sealy Mattress factory that was under renovations and restoration projects. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
