Isopods are actually CRAZY though…

Some of the beautiful animals I got to see at the Reptile Show in Daytona. Man, those radiata are incredible. Still waiting for my opportunity to get some donated to me. Praying that will happen one day. Until then, I’ll continue to learn about them and wait for the chance to be given 🫨✊

Today is #WorldSnakeDay , a day where MOST people not only in America. But around the world probably wish shouldn’t exist. Snakes without a doubt are THE MOST persecuted animal on this planet. I hate to say more people that I meet are raised to believe snakes are “a bad omen” or “the only get snake is a dead snake”. Yet, almost all those people can’t even give a reason why. Poor folk lore, uneducated humans, and terrible movies have pushed people to take shovels and beat snakes down for no reason. When it comes to venomous snakes, I often hear “well I gotta protect my family and dog”. To me, that excuse deserves a slap to the face. There are resources, there is identification tactics. There are people who will literally relocate snakes for FREE. Yet many people just want to eliminate the animal. I wish world snake day could be Something we could celebrate, unfortunately it’s not. This is a day to educate people on the benefits of snakes. Stop teaching your children to hate snakes and start teaching them, at the very least to respect them

Got a surprise clutch of three eggs from my Hermanns Tortoise today. Always super exciting anytime you get eggs. Not sure they’re fertile as of yet but we will see here hopefully within the next few weeks. Little disclaimer you should definitely wait until their finished before grabbing the eggs, however I kinda jumped the ball and starting grabbing the eggs as she dropped them.
