There's a Celtic tradition of going mad in the forest and then returning with some wisdom. Myrddin WYLLT (Merlin) is a good example. It is so good to turn off the computers and disappear into the mountains for a while. These days you might find sanity in the woods instead, and definitely a few rainbows. Looking at sky, sea, stones and mountains, we are reminded that fundamentally all is well. We need to learn how to find peace within ourselves and then, hopefully, share it with the world.

The fact that it was something about Celtic mythology blows my mind even more because normally I personally wouldn't get into books of this genre. Round of applause for keeping it so interesting and wanting to be fed more.
She uses her in-depth knowledge of the Old Religions and obvious shear love of the legends to create a vivid world and charming characters revolving around the Ladies of the Lake, Merlin, Avalon, and Modern England. The story, is wonderful written, easy to follow, and the book is very difficult to put down! Though it falters slightly in the shift of character perspectives, NIMUE: Freeing Merlin is well written and researched and successfully flips the Arthurian tradition on its head to reveal a powerful, feminist look at the hidden potential within us all
The story is also well researched, with several figures and items from legend making an appearance. Unlike legend, however, Sullivan’s retelling roots hard for girl power, focusing on strong and witty female characters. When Nina’s love interest, Owen, tries to take control of the narrative, he’s told, “Right now, we need a Heroine.” This theme continues throughout the novel, all the way to its empowering climax and Nimue’s realization of her own potential — a perfect reminder for today’s readers, especially those of the “gentler” s*x, that they too have unmatched potential and agency. Along with the captivating story of NIMUE: Freeing Merlin, Sullivan has filled this book with original artwork. Her sketches feature a deliberate use of light and shadow, reflecting the novel’s motifs of dark and light, good and evil. Plus, the author provides readers with short blurbs that give more information about the characters, practices for honoring those mythological figures, and even a meditation for healing. These extra tidbits are a blessing for those who don’t want to leave the world of magic just quite yet.

"Nimue Freeing Merlin by Ayn Cates Sullivan is fantasy fiction. The third in the Legends of the Grail series, As i have come to find out. This is my First time reading a book from front to Back. And wanting to read more! It was beyond enjoyable and full of Adventure! The way this Book Tells the story It could of been first in the series. I never felt like I had to read the previous books to understand this one. Or Know Who Nimue or Merlin was. So if you haven't been introduced to this author and you read this book First. You Don't feel like your missing anything and if u follow this series what a treat!! This Story is magical, It has everything that you would want in a book. Love , Magic, Adventure, and Pain.

In this Story You will find A young girl, Nina 17 who is currently living in New York with her mother. They leave to her mother's hometown England to Stay with her brother and get a fresh start after the passing of Nina's Father. Nina feeling like there is something more to her own story, seeks answers and ends up on a journey that you will enjoy reading about.

The details provided and the flow of the words to describe each scene and emotion. I could see it as it was happening the words came off the book and created a movie. The story is told from Nina's perspective.The way grief was detailed raw and relatable. The flow of the book was very nice it transitioned very well. It wasn't rushed or felt like you wanted more details or cut off like you were missing details. The little tokens of laughter was definitely a great add on like the gooseberry yogurt fool. As I read on the book changed as in being in view of someone watching. Exactly how I felt as if I was there watching her like a shadow. I felt immersed with her while feeling her emotions from her perspective and insight.

I really appreciated that the author took the time to research the material. So that it would be accurate and true to character.While highlighting the main character and her journey. As an added Bonus in the book You get the Glossary of The characters to familiarize yourself with in the book beforehand. And a character symbol description.

It's truly a beautiful story because we all want to know who we are and why we are and i feel like when we do find ourselves and our purpose it brings us the peace and power. To learn to be ok with all the challenges of different people we encounter even it if it is for a season. I wish this book didnt end , as i wanted it to keep going especially at the end. It's a reread for me and a bonus add on for any current or new followers.

Although there is no explicit language I would say 18 and up to read. Due the Mature scenes described. The message is Beautiful especially for a Young woman/teen. Definitely a good read I highly recommend.With a few errors. There was nothing to dislike. I give it a deserving 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend it to lovers of mythological books. So if your a fan of Sword in the Stone and Labyrinth i felt like this was a combination of those 2 books. Enjoy and happy reading!! "

May you find the work you love, and may friends and family gather around you who recognize the beauty of your soul. May your light work bring healing to the planet, and to those who seek your message. May your losses and tears be brief, and your dreams and visions be stronger. May the dawning of the new light bring you hope, renewal and good health. May you find a warm place to live, an abundance of healthy food, and a community that loves you.

In the darkness hours, remember the light of your soul knows how to guide you back to the present moment and into the arms of those who care. May your soul embrace you like a dear friend, and may that light spill over onto those who also seek the warmth of the returning sun.

It begins with lighting a candle.... and asking for the light to be present and active. I light the candle now.

As we move toward Winter Solstice and the darkest time of the year, we can choose to focus on the return of the Light. The reason we light candles is because we are sending good wishes and prayers to those we love. We gather together over meals to dream in a positive future together. These actions keep hope alive. Together we can support each other in remembering that longer sunnier days will come again. As we take part in our holiday festivities, let's remember that this is in the time in the western hemisphere when many plants are sleeping, and mystics around the world listen to their dreams. We can light a candle and meditate on the dreams of the Earth.

As we listen, we are reminded that we can find the light within ourselves, and this inner sun can guide us through any darkness. But do not get swallowed by the seduction of despair. The light will be victorious once again. Our light will never go out.

We triumph when we hold a positive vision for humanity. When we focus on goodness, we invite goodness to us. So let's all light a candle each day for the living light within each of us, which is where we can find unity, love, and peace. Let's take a minute, to remember that love matters.

This is a time of year to be compassionate, for many people have been through tremendous changes during these last few years. And the change isn't done. We are all receiving many light codes and vibrational upgrades from the Sun and Earth. Some people are aware of this and others are not. It does not matter, except that when you become aware of the light above and below you, you realize you too are the Divine Light. Once that happens you become a light worker.

May the light awaken in all those who are ready and may all life thrive.

"Nimue: Freeing Merlin is a fictional story by Ayn Cates Sullivan that involves mystery and mythological elements. Nimue is the Lady of the Lake character from the legend of King Arthur. The main theme of this book is the rebirth of Nimue as Nina and how destiny leads Nina to discover her past.

The book commences with the unusual dream of Nina, in which a woman wearing a long green dress appears, and Nina finds herself in an unknown place. Later, Nina realizes that this dream is recurring. Nina and her mother, Diana, plan to travel back to Nina’s mother’s hometown in Britain, where they are going to stay at Nina’s uncle Blaise’s place. Upon their arrival in Britain, Blaise’s friend Daphne warmly welcomes them to Blaise’s residence. One day, Nina confides in Daphne about her unusual dreams, and Daphne advises Nina to seek help from the local healer, Ganieda.

Ganieda guides Nina to discover her past life. During this process, Nina encounters the lady who appeared in her dream, and the lady introduces herself as Morgen. Nina learns that she is Nimue, an ancient priestess, and her purpose is to free the great wizard Merlin.

I thoroughly enjoy this book. I appreciate how the author includes illustrations, allowing readers to connect more deeply with the story. The detailed descriptions of each scene provided by the author demonstrate their skill in painting a vivid picture. I particularly admire the interactions between Merlin and Nimue. In my opinion, the readers should have a known about Arthurian legends to enjoy this book better.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. The book is well-edited and exceptional, as I couldn’t find any errors. The book contains erotic scenes. There is no profanity in the book.

"Nimue" by Ayn Cates Sullivan is a mesmerising novel that swept me away into a world where mythology, the Arthurian legend, and a teenage girl's coming-of-age journey converge. From the bustling streets of New York to the enchanting landscapes of England, this book is a captivating exploration of destiny and self-discovery.

The story introduces us to Nina, a 17-year-old girl living in New York City with her widowed mother, Diana. Her life takes an extraordinary turn as she grapples with strange and vivid dreams featuring a woman in a green dress who calls her "Mage." These dreams became the catalyst for her remarkable journey.

To help Diana heal from the sorrow of her husband's death, they embark on a journey to England, Diana's homeland, to meet her twin brother, Uncle Blaise. This transition is the beginning of Nina's transformation, as she turns to Ganeida, the local healer, in search of answers and guidance.

"On a journey to heal from her father’s death, a teenage girl named Nina goes on a vacation to England with her mother. Nina and her mother both believe that there are and always have been, subtle magics affecting the world around them. In England, Nina encounters a mysterious, and possibly magical, woman in a green dress who calls herself Morgan. After meeting Morgan, Nina discovers the forgotten memories of her past life, when she was a Mage named Nimue. These memories hold the key to finding out what happened to the legendary Merlin, and where Merlin can be found now. If Merlin cannot be found in this age, it could mean the destruction of the natural world.

I enjoyed Ayn Cates Sullivan’s take on an Arthurian legend. Nimue is a mythological figure that I didn’t know much about, and it was exciting to experience some of the stories surrounding this character. I found it very clever how the author integrated this mythological person into an exciting modern-day story. The descriptions of the magic in the world were engaging and delightful to experience. I thought this book was thoughtfully written, and I can’t think of anything I did not like about this book.

I would give Nimue: Freeing Merlin a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This book was very well written and seemed to be professionally edited. I found no grammar or spelling errors. Ayn Cates Sullivan did a wonderful job portraying the right feel for an Arthurian legend. I also particularly enjoyed the enchanting and ethereal descriptions of the ladies of the lake, the druids, and the world.

I would recommend this book to a young adult audience. There are some erotic passages in this book. Overall, I found Nimue: Freeing Merlin to be a very enchanting book to read."

"My first take would be on the level of research Ayn Cates Sullivan did before writing. It reflected on the pages in the level of detail it contained and accuracy in descriptions. The glossary was much appreciated; she used it as a medium of clarification and to link old myths to modern times. Although some of the Celtic words were tongue twisters, they were enlightening.

The images illustrated were appealing, especially the symbols drawn. I spent ample time just enjoying the artistry — not only were they aesthetically pleasing, but they also held some relevance in the pages they were shown and added a rich texture to the overall feel of the book. She spared no opportunity to showcase art, even on the cursive headers. It was a well-thought-out book.

The plot that tied the myths together was an interesting one. It started pretty simply and mundanely; then, it gradually eased into a more intricate one. There wasn't any grandiose fight or large-scale conflict. Yet, it was enrapturing. The author's storytelling was a delight and had this feminine touch that made it more emotional. It suited the first-person perspective used for our protagonist."

Fairy Mysteries is a delightful book about Lindee, a forest fairy, and Max, a unicorn, who live in the Fairy realm. Lindee is excited when she’s given her first assignment as a detective to investigate a claim that a dragon is stealing children on earth. Lindee changes into the form of a human child and Max changes his form into a dog before they go through the portal to earth and start their adventure.

The story is very imaginative and full of creative beings like dragons, goblins, pixies, giant dragonflies, elves, gnomes, fauns and unicorns. The pencil-drawings are delightful. The story illustrates the value of courage, trust, responsibility, friendship, and helpfulness.

The story will appeal to children who love stories about magical creatures and other realms.
