Hi again! We've been so busy recently, and we can't wait to show you what we've been up to! 🤩

We are The AV Company, a premiere audio-visual company providing modern audio-visual systems and services throughout Virginia, frequently servicing Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Richmond, and Virginia Beach. We are tech nerds with a touch of creative pizazz and a "put us in coach" mindset.

With over twenty years in the audio-visual arena and focusing on corporate, hotel, and conference services, video production, theatrical sound & lighting, and virtual and hybrid event production. Whether it be equipment rental, a conference, a virtual event, or something in between – The AV Company has you covered!

Happy Graduation Weekend, Hoos! 🧡🎓 As a Charlottesville-based company, we enjoy working on events with the University of Virginia. Check out how we combined different elements of decor and technology to create a dynamic backdrop and amplified the visual impact of the athletic department's stunning video content during the Hoos Choice Awards (2017).

We started with custom stairs and LED tape to enhance the "awards show" feeling. In the background, we used a star drop - a black drape sewn with individual LED lights to resemble a starry night sky. We then arranged our LED panels into a unique configuration, creating larger LED walls for primary video content and smaller LED wall pieces for logos and ambient content. We surrounded the video walls with frosted acrylic panels and topped off the set with a spandex "splatter" shape that we could project onto, which could display the event logo for the duration of the program.

One last virtual event tip for the week:
Simplify. Your. Slides.

You might be used to creating slides for large screens or TVs, but these days, most folks are experiencing your presentations on 13"-17" laptop screens. Make it easier on them, and limit your slides to one point each. Keep your visuals simple and screenshot-able, to make them even more useful for your attendees! 🙌
