UVA Remembers Yeardley Love
Today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of UVA fourth-year lacrosse player, Yeardley Love. Yeardley's murder, the result of intimate partner violence, jolted the Charlottesville and University of Virginia communities. In the 10 years since, Yeardley's legacy has made even more of an impact than we could ever have imagined, through the educational work of the One Love Foundation.
Watch this video to see how the University community and those who were close to Yeardley reflect on her legacy and what healthy love means to them. Virginia Women's Lacrosse Coach, Julie Myers, said it best, "If we can't have Yeardley, the One Love Foundation is the next best thing."

A special thanks to Caroline Gmelich and Martha Gallagher from Team One Love at UVA for putting this video together and to everyone who participated from afar in quarantine, especially University President Jim Ryan, Dean Allen Groves , Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy (UVA) Dean Ian Solomon, Virginia Men's Basketball Coach Tony Bennett, Virginia Women's Lacrosse Coach Julie Myers, and One Love Co-Founder Sharon Langhoff Robinson.
