Yesterday was a little anticlimactic for me. I typically celebrate Veteran's Day by taking advantage of a free coffee or sandwich around town, which almost makes my 2 years in a combat zone worth it.

This year I was stuck at home with my daughter, who was getting over a cold. As a result I got behind on a few projects and was prevented from venturing out of the house to take advantage of any of the Veteran's Day Fanfare. However, I had some beautiful unplanned moments that I'll always cherish and she even surprised me with my favorite Veteran's Day Card yet.

I hope everyone else who is serving or has served, or has a family member who has, had a wonderful Veterans Day. I sure did!
