Yesterday I attended Gui 's Celebration of Life and it was no surprise of how great of a turnout it was. Like I said before he was loved by everyone in both the bodybuilding and film community. There were definitely laughter and tears, but I believe the laughter over weighed the tears cause a few of the speakers had some pretty funny stories of how he trained his clients and I personally know he was always joking around in between filming Warganger. I'm also thankful for his wife Dana for holding onto the jacket he wore for his character and displayed it for all the guests to see. I really felt honored for her doing that cause it's definitely a legacy he'll leave behind in future productions. Now I have it to always be reminded of the wonderful times I spent working with him. Thanks again for putting all this together and having me there. Gui will always be love and missed. R.I.P. big brudah 🙏🕊

Hey I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday 🎄🎁 Back with more BTS craziness and this was one of the most frustrating takes while filming episode 1. I was basically ad libbing my lines to Jim Mack McGee through my mask HUD and I wanted to insert the magazine into the gun in one take. Apparently that didn't go well and had to do it multiple times til' I finally got it. Of course Randy Rashaad J-Ones was behind the camera getting a kick of it and that wasn't helping either 😤😂 That gun was something else 😅 Sometimes the magazine would either get jammed in there and the magazine release button wouldn't work so you had to c**k the gun back in order to get it out. Other times the clip would be loose and slip out at random times. So what I thought would be a simple shot turned into a real complex one 😂😂😂

Here's Omari doing a lil' test run of the chase scene where I'm ducking and dodging Randy Rashaad J-Ones ' laser bolts. He also helped filmed part of the action and Gregory Xemnas Black shot some of it as well. Even I had to be behind the camera in my Warganger outfit. Well it's been a week since I dropped the 1st episode of Warganger and I really appreciate everyone for the love and support so far 🙏 If you haven't watched it yet, definitely check it out and if you're also on YouTube, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you enjoyed it. It's a late game (well if you're living on the east coast), but it's finally here!! I'm definitely going through a whirlwind of emotions right now ranging from happy, sad, to just plain burnt out. I'll probly say I'm more relived that I'm just finally done with this one. I think I explained earlier in the year that I was shooting episodes 1&2 back to back. Took me almost a whole year just to finish shooting and editing this one. Definitely have a lot of people to thank for helping me put all of this together. Most of them I already tagged in the post, but there were others who aren't on FB or active on social media in general, but you"ll see their names in the end credits. A few people mentioned that watching this episode will be bittersweet and it will be without having "The Bad Guy" physically here with us. Dedicating this episode to Gui who was there from the very beginning and also the first actor who I filmed in both episodes 1&2. Hope y'all enjoy it and definitely give it a like and subscribe to the channel if you're on YouTube. Hey y'all 👋 Just wanted give an update on the 1st episode of Warganger which was going to drop today, but I decided to push back it another week and that'll be the last and final date change. A lot of y'all know that my dear friend Gui, who also played the main antagonist, Crimson, had unexpectedly passed away last weekend and I'm still trying to process what happened. Really shook me to my core when I found out about it and still feels unreal.

As far as the series goes I only intended to make only about 6 and I had planned for him to appear in 4 which included the finale and we were already planning on having our characters meet in person for the first time and choreographing a pretty intense battle between us. Definitely one of the things I regret not doing cause he actually wanted to go ahead and film it last year, but of course I like to take my sweet and plan out every detail of the cause they're were going to be a lot of flashbacks and reveals throughout the finale as well. Another thing I regret is not releasing the 1st episode on November 18th when he was physically here. This was around the same time that Jason David Frank had passed and that was another rough week for me as well.

Episode 2 is still going to be released sometime next year and that's the last one Gui appears in. Still have a lot of work to do on it. I really appreciate everyone that reached out to me and sending their condolences not only to me, but his family as well. Like I mentioned before, Warganger won't be the same without him and it'll definitely go into a different direction than what I originally had planned. Not sure if Ima go live after the episode drops, but I might do a video tribute to him probly just talking about meeting him for the first time back in 2014 and him being part of the production. Gui was there from the beginning and I wish he could've stuck around til' the very end. You'll be missed a lot bro. R.I.P. 🙏🕊

Never thought such a tragedy would ever happen so soon on any of my productions and this one just feels so unreal. I lost one of my dear friends and co stars, Gui Annou, yesterday. I also don't know all the details on how he passed, but hopefully I'll know something. Whatever happened to him, Gui didn't deserve it and it just shows you how unfair life is. It's always the good that get taken away from us too soon.

I first met Gui several years ago at a fight and stunt seminar here in Charlotte and I just kept telling myself that Ima get him on one of my projects someday. I also remember at the end of the seminar, we were giving each other dap and I kid you not I almost I lost my arm that day 😅 I didn't see him for years after that, but we always stayed in touch. It was at the time I started developing my webseries for Warganger back in 2018, he was the first actor I thought of for the main antagonist, Crimson, who I was looking for a big guy that would make you think of Kingpin. When I started filming the action teaser in January 2020, I didn't start shooting his scenes until August and y'all already know what we were dealing with throughout that year. That was also the first time we've seen each other in person since 2014.

From shooting the teaser to the first two episodes, Gui always gave it 💯 everytime the camera was rolling and he'll go from being such a sweet guy to being a ruthless villain in a split second. He went out his way to buy the red suit jacket as well. Even if the scenes were very short, he knew how to bring it. We were already planning on how our characters should meet and going over a little fight choreography as well. I honestly don't know how the series will move forward from now on, if it does it all. His time on the project got cut very short, but I'm very thankful and blessed that he was on it period and helping get it off the ground. Don't know if I'll drop the 1st episode this weekend, but if I do, it'll be dedicated to his memory. My condolences to his family and his wife, Dana, who was present while we were filming episode 2. Ima miss you a lot bro. R.I.P. 🙏🕊

Dedicating this post to one of my childhood heroes, Jason David Frank , who of course y'all know him as Tommy Oliver from the Power Rangers franchise, sadly passed away. I don't know all the details and don't know what he was going through, but it just hit me like a Mack truck this morning . Glad I got to finally see him last year after watching him on TV for almost 30 yrs. He was a really humble and just awesome guy to meet. I was honestly shaking b4 I even took the pic with him 😅 He also signed a few personal items as well. I also know he was a born again Christian so I definitely hope he finds his peace with God. R.I.P. and may the power protect you 🙏🕊⚡💚

Birthday shoutout to Jim Mack McGee who plays Dr. David Cranston in the upcoming Warganger series. He is the genius behind the gadgets and gizmos that our hero uses to dispose of any adversary that gets in his path or wants to cause chaos in his city. I first met Jim back in 2018 when we were working on a short film together and as soon as I started casting for this particular role, he was the first actor I thought of. Definitely was a pleasure working with him and y'all will get to see more of Jim when the first episode drops later this month. Well today is Maxx Jay's 4th anniversary and I know it's been kinda quiet on here, but we'll be making some noise in the later half of this year. Just thought I'd also give y'all an update like I usually do this month every year on content coming soon. So I'm only one scene away from officially wrapping up the 1st episode of Warganger and half way from having the 2nd episode also completed. Hoping to have them both finished within this month and June. Most of y'all know I was filming both of them back to back almost a year ago when everything started slowly going back to normal and then the production got hit with some delays like actor availability, bipolar weather (especially since I live in NC) , working on other projects, family emergencies, etc. Still aiming to release them in the fall and winter of this year. In the meantime I still have a couple of music videos that will be released soon, so at least y'all will have that. Thanks to all those who continue to show love and support for MJP 4 years(see what I did there haha) Going to the Maxx in 2022 👊⚡🎂🎈
