The Angel Gabriel Company is pleased to announce Ms. Lisa Littlejohn and Mrs. Natasha Oates has joined our staff as therapist. They currently service a variety of clientele for the company bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from the field of counseling. Mrs. Oates and Ms. Littlejohn are licensed by the North Carolina Board of Certified Counselors. Please visit our website to learn more about their expertise.

Mrs. Oates received a BA in Psychology from NC Central and a MA and Education Specialist Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University. Her areas of interest included, but are not limited to, couples therapy, individual therapy and expressive arts/play therapy.

Ms. Littlejohn received a BA in Sociology from Winthrop University, Master in Business Administration from Webster University and a MA in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her areas of interest include, but are not limited to, stress/anxiety, depression, grief and loss, couples and family therapy and individual therapy.

For many people this Christmas, there will be an empty place mat at the table because of a parent, spouse, child or loved one who has passed away. For many, this time of year also has a way of triggering special memories and renewing feelings of grief. If you are grieving the death of a loved one, it is important not to suppress your grief. Process it with your family, a trusted friend or a counselor so that you can express your emotions in a healthy way. Most importantly, remember that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18)
