Mac had to work late so I wanted to make a nice dinner for us to spend time together. Made spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread paired with martinis (he likes his wet and I like mine dirty 😋) Table set up features hydrangeas, tapered candles, eucalyptus and rosemary. Vibes were 10/10. Grateful for this life 😇

This whole process took us about two and half weeks. We spent a few weeks before that planning out the layout of the garden beds, and what we were going to plant. It’s been so much work, but not without its reward! We’ve gotten so much time out in nature, and having our friends and family support us, and help us makes us just feel even more like we are in the right place. Mac made this Citrus Bundt cake for Easter and it was as delicious as it looks (and yes the flowers were edible)! Full recipe below: .Citrus Bundt Cake:-Combine 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons baking power, 1 3/4 teaspoons salt in a bowl-Beat in 3/4 cup sour cream until combined-Beat in 6 eggs, 1 at a time-Beat in 1 1/2 sticks melted unsalted butter-Zest 3 lemons and 2 oranges, then cut the rind away, cutting out the lemon and orange segments. Cut them into 1/4” pieces-Squeeze the juice from the remaining core of the citrus and beat into the batter, along with the zest-Fold in the fruit segments-Pour into a Bundt pan that’s been sprayed with cooking spray and dusted with flour-Bake at 350F for 48 minutes, rotating once halfway through. Let cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes, then turn out onto the rack to cool for 10 minutes more. Transfer to a shallow, rimmed dish.-For the syrup, bring the juice of 2 lemons, 1 orange and 1/2 cup of sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to boil for 30 seconds more. -For the glaze, whisk together 1 cup of confectioner’s sugar and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Add less liquid for a thicker glaze.-Pour the syrup over the cake, spooning it on until no more is left. Return to the oven to dry for 5 minutes-Pour the glaze over the cake and let cool completely.
