All those years ago when we had 4 places to be on Christmas Day…I remember being so overwhelmed and exhausted, tired and wishing for the day we could be home more during the holidays.
Young, silly me didn’t realize the full extent of my wish back then.
This!!! I see so many new parents and people complaining about going to multiple places. I crave this. I miss it so much. You don’t know how blessed you are. And how lonely it is when it stops
You see, for my wish to come true, people had to die and family members had to lose the desire or be too busy to be with extended members of the family.
My wish has come true.
Be careful what you wish for.
If you still have your grandparents, hug them extra tight this year. If you still have both of your parents, tell them you love them an extra time before leaving their house. If you have extended family that can and want to gather and visit, do it.
You’re gonna miss this. That has been my motto this year.
