Happy New Year! Let these words from S7E8 of with wash over you as you seek God in 2025… “Just because it is broken on earth, doesn’t mean that it is broken in Heaven. We live in a broken world, but God has come to redeem the brokenness. We cannot look at Him through the lens of the world, rather we need to look at the world through the lens of our Abba, Father.

He is making all things good and right.

God has welcomed you into His Kingdom. People on earth may not want you, but the King of the Universe does want you. God did a good job of making you and the pieces of you that are of God are good.”

I pray you can walk into the New Year with God-rooted confidence!

I S7E7 of Jes taught that Immanuel means “God with us” and reminds us that Jesus is with us always and in everything – in our suffering, in our pain and sorrow, in our joy, in our conflict, in our sin, in our facing death and uncertainty– in all the things that we experience in a broken world. Jesus did not shy away from these things. Jesus is with us through everything. His presence will never leave us. You are not alone. You are not forgotten.

In S7E6 of Dr. Nicole Wilke reminded us about the unconditional love of God! .nicolewilke shared, “When you couple early adversity with instability, you often see unlovable behaviors. However, when we look at the character of God, we see Him going to those that are the most unlovable. He goes to us when we are at our most unlovable state.

God is in the business of transformation.

God intends for us to be dependent on Him. This is part of His strategy for growing us and shaping us into becoming more life Him.

There is never an end to the love of our Heavenly Father. He never stops loving you, chasing you and pursuing you!” AMEN!!

N E W E P I S O D E ! 🎙️ This week on The Collected Podcast, is sharing the next message in our Names of God Series! Throughout this series, we have been highlighting different names of The Lord. Understanding who God is and who we are in Him are vital parts of walking in freedom and remaining rooting in who we are created to be! Today we are circling back to JEHOVAH ROHI. This name highlights The Lord as our loving shepherd. In the Ancient Near East, a good shepherd would endure danger, extreme weather conditions and sleeplessness in order to protect and provide for his sheep. In the same way, God protects us from danger, provides us with nourishments through His Word, stays by our side through times of struggle, and seeks after our hearts when we wander away. This is such a beautiful picture of care and selfless love!

In S7E3 of reminded us about the importance of living a life devoted to Christ. He shared, “Living a devoted life is worth it. There is nothing that you can give to Christ that wouldn’t be worth it in the end. The only logical response to what Christ did on the cross is to live a life devoted to Him.

God was graciously willing to give up His own Son, so how much more willing will he be to freely give us all things? This is the center of God’s heart— God’s heart is for you. He gave up His Son for you, so there is nothing good that He would withhold. So how do we live a devoted life?

Love is spelled T-I-M-E. Those who find God, find time. You must have a whole ‘seeking God’ lifestyle.”

In S7E2 of shared a powerful reminder about experiencing the presence of God: “In the Bible, Thomas doubted that Christ had risen and he felt disconnected from the presence of The Lord. Jesus showed up to Thomas and let Thomas experience His presence in a powerful way. God knows when we need to experience Him in a new way and He will be faithful to provide that.

However, Hebrews reminds us that God will draw near… not that you will always feel Him. Even when you cannot “feel” Him, He is still near. His presence never leaves you… despite what you feel in a given moment.

You are not forgotten, God is near, He is working. Keep digging in, keep seeking God.

God wants to be known. He made himself known. He seeks after us.

In the Ancient Near East, the pagan gods/idols required food, cleaning and clothing. BUT, our God clothes us, feeds us and cleans us. He’s the God that pursues us. He is know-able and near.”

In our most recent episode of The Collected Podcast, Jes shared a short message from 2 Timothy 3:14-17…
“But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

This was part of Paul’s final letter– written when he was in a Roman prison. Even when Paul was in prison – presumably without a Torah in sight, he still knew the Word of God. He had studied the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus in a deep and meaningful way, and when he found himself stuck without those life-giving words, he already had them hidden away in his heart.

In this particular section of the letter, we are reminded that God’s Word holds the key to the message of salvation. As Believers, we must be spending time on God’s Word to know Him and understand who we are in Him. The Bible has everything that we need for life and godliness. Another translation of verse 16 says that all Scripture is “God-breathed”. His presence is on every page and all of it is useful for every aspect of our lives.
