Master this and you'll have a never-ending stream of clients.
Today I'm going to share one of the most effective weapons you can ever have in your business arsenal - clarity.
If you can't explain what you do clearly and quickly - how is your customer supposed to understand what you do?
They won't.
It's your job to catch their attention and make them listen to you.
After all, most of us have micro attention spans - catch my attention quickly or lose me forever.
Let me ask you this - do you know how many contact points it takes for a client to notice you and book a call?
2? 3? 4?
NOPE...try EIGHT!
So when you finally grab someone's attention, you have to make sure that what you tell them has a major impact.
We want to quickly and clearly explain what you do (and, more importantly, the problem you solve for your clients).
Because every person you talk to at a networking event, a coffee shop with your SO, or the person you talk to in line at the grocery store could be a potential client.
The truth is you never know where your next client is coming from.
Anytime someone fires that question, "what do you do First name??" is a chance to deliver our 30-second elevator pitch.
And if you can quickly and effectively tell them how you can help them, you'll never be without clients again. Even if they aren't your ideal client, they might know someone who is looking for someone exactly like you.
So, what should my elevator pitch have in it?
l've got you.
Here's my free template to help you build your first 30-second elevator pitch.
I'm the owner of (business name)
I help (who you do it for)
By (what you do)
I started because (why you do it)
So they can (the benefit they get) and (secondary benefit)
It looks like a big block of text, but that's OK!
The more you practice it and get comfortable with the basic elements; you'll be able to make it truly natural.
