Snow???
Its a real possibility, and becoming more likely in portions of the mountains/Piedmont tomorrow evening/night. I've got the latest for you on who I think could see accumulations.
Confidence is increasing that we will see a favorable pattern for heavy snow, and POTENTIAL blizzard conditions in portions of the Apps next week.
A powerful ULL will develop over the Ohio River Valley, during the middle of next week. This will supply cold air, and enhanced lift across the region. Strong orographic forcing will lead to heavy snow/strong wind in spots. Exact timing, totals, locations will need to be ironed out this week.
The stories I'm hearing out of Western North Carolina are truly unimaginable. This will go in the history books as the worst hydrological disasters in the modern era for the Carolinas. People are stranded, there is loss of life, travel is impossible, and people cant get in touch with loved ones due to mass communication outages.
The footage below is in the eye of the storm as it made landfall in Florida. There was a truly unsettling, and evil feeling/sound in the center of this storm.

CAROLINA TORNADO:
Look at this photogenic tornado as it caused damage near Marion, South Carolina yesterday around 6:15pm. This tornado was likely on the ground for 5-10 minutes. You can see what is likely tree debris being lofted by the tornado!
