MESSAGE FROM THE ARTIST (The 808):

I am a fan of the Canada based TV show Letterkenny Problems and find it amusing how the characters often love to scrap / fist fight just for good fun. Most of the time out of pure boredom, taunted by their small town lifestyle.

I found myself relating to this state of boredom growing up in a small town as well. I vividly remember those angst-ridden days often fueling my signature "screw this" attitude and a montage of rebellious anti-formalities.

The first few lines of lyrics in the chorus state "Punch me in my face, so I can feel a little something brand new. Punch me in my face, so I can see a little color on you." This hits home for me a bit too much... Feeling so bored that you would rather be punched in the face just to feel something different.

This alternative pop punk driven anthem may seem thickly layered with an optimistic tone, but is quite rude at its core!

- Born and raised in Central Florida (USA) and currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA).
