Can we all just take a moment to appreciate these baby blue’s on Baby Dru 🤩

This sweet family was such a joy to work with back in July and I am SO excited to get back together with them this month for another full session! 📸✨

Our mini sessions are amazing for Christmas cards and quick family photos, but a lot of times it’s worth the upgrade to a one hour session! It’s only 30 extra minutes but you get SO much bang for your buck.

🌟 IT’S OFFICIAL 🌟

I am now in week TWO of being self employed 😅😨 it’s so crazy to think that I am on this path and so quickly stepping into a role that I have been dreaming about for YEARS (most of my adult life really).

And now it’s HAPPENING!

I was out of town most of last week soaking up the great outdoors but now I am home and making ALL the plans and all the lists, which includes more than a little light reading and a fair amount of cat cuddles. 😏📚🐱

Because amirite?

Oh yeah, and schooling myself on how to use other cameras because I’m on my way to shoot a WEDDING this weekend! EEK!

I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you who have booked a mini session this month and for all of those following and supporting me on this journey! I truly could not be here doing what I love to do without your love and support.

And for those of you wondering - no, Jack does NOT like to take photos. If that wasn’t obvious in the photo I tried to get of the two of us. 😆😸

[FERNWEH] 🌿 this word is a combination of the words fern (meaning distance) and wehe (meaning ache), and comes together to create a feeling as well as a meaning - a craving to explore far off places. As an avid traveler, I find this feeling pops up quite often in my daily life and not only pertains to a craving of far off places, but far away people and memories as well. A feeling which has become more prevalent by the necessary distancing we have all experienced as of late.

As photography is largely an art of creating timeless memories, I wanted to bake this idea into the foundation of our brand.

🌿 FERNWEH 🌿 is here to capture those perfectly imperfect moments. Those in between moments. Those natural, organic moments that may only happen once in a lifetime. Our goal is to create magic on camera and capture the tiny emotions that flow through the everyday. Emotions and touches and looks and tender moments that typically go unnoticed and unrecognized.

Because if there’s anything we have learned as a global community these past few years it’s this: togetherness deserves to be CELEBRATED.
