With the growing trend of social media, people have asked me, do I still need a website in 2022? The short answer is…YES!!

Here are my top 5 reasons why:

1. A website makes you look professional. 84% of today’s consumers think a website makes your business more credible. Your website is like a resume and corresponds with your brand.

2. Collecting email and phone numbers are GOLD!! People these days literally pay for a scraping system, which is basically a database that collects hundreds and thousands of emails and phone number that you can “solicit” to. Want FREE advertising? Build up your email and phone number list of people already using your business to upsell or notify them of promotional deals. Set up an automation to run ads via email or text messaging campaign. If your website can collect these emails and phone numbers, that is FREE scraping for you right there…and with people that already like your product/service.

3. Your website allows people to search for you on Google. We all know that Google is the biggest search engine at the moment. Figure out what words and phrases (like in a blog) are getting the most traffic on Google, then build your content around those phrases so that you can be found. And that’s free advertising right there too!

4. Your website showcases your services and products. If your customer lands on your page, be clear in what you offer. Then, you need a call to action. How can your customers contact you or buy your product? They are ready to buy! Give them a call to action because they are at your front door (aka, your website).

5. Does your website need to look “pretty?” Not necessarily “pretty” because let’s be honest, that’s subjective. BUT, your website does need to look cohesive. Let me ask you this, would you buy from food from a restaurant if the inside looks like trash? Same concept applies to a website. Customers are less likely to buy from a website that looks like trash.

I started an instagram page a few years ago just for fun. It was intended to help me remember all the places I've been and recommend to other people to go out on dates! I wasn't consistent until a few months ago and now I have a community of people who engage regularly and find value in my content. If you don't have time, you can always hire us to manage your social media! If you intend to manage it yourself, here is what I've learned:

1. As I have said, be consistent! Even it it's just 2 posts a week. You can use the FB Business Suite app or on desktop to pre-schedule your posts...for free!

2. Engage with your followers! That means, follow them, like their content, like and comment on their comments, etc. You can only grow a community if you speak to them. You just never know who you will meet and be genuine!!

3. Host giveaways. This is just one way to quickly grow followers. Collaborate with other business accounts and be creative.

4. Introduce yourself. People want to know who are and what you are about. If you want people to trust you, show them who you are!
