Did you know that when the talking movies just came out in late 1920s everyone expected them to fail?

This week we went to Catalina island off the coast of California and one of the main sightseeing there is the Casino.

(Which has nothing to do with gambling, as it turns out that meaning the word casino took on much later)

The Casino was opened in 1929: a movie theatre with a ballroom upstairs. At the time talking pictures just came out and everyone expected they to flop.

This is why you see majestic organ next to the stage: in case talking pictures flop, they wanted to have a music option instead.

Thinking about that today, after almost a century of successful films, and now pretty much anyone can make a video…

I can’t help but think:

Every time we have something new, as humans we want to think it will fail, because it threatens our way of thinking and the way we used to live.

🤖When computers first came out, people didn’t see why anyone would need it at home.

🤖When Internet came out, we couldn’t even comprehend the impact it will have today.

🤖Now is the time for AI tools.

While I can’t predict the future, if there is anything history teaches us, it’s that those who embrace technology and learn how to use it sooner then later will have massive advantage down the line.

I don’t believe that AI can replace human touch or interaction.

But I do believe it can speed up our work and make us more efficient, while eliminating mindless work that really no humans should be doing anyway.

The other day I saw someone talk about how if you use lead form, you will attract people who never buy from you…

And I just couldn’t disagree more.

Attracting high quality lead that will actually buy from you has NOTHING to do with using a form VS a landing page.

(Ahem, my whole group of ads managers use lead forms, including for coaches at 8 figures, so…)

If you want to attract high level leads that will invest in you, including high ticket offers, it’s all about:

✅ Messaging in your ads and making sure you are not only attract the right client, but repel the wrong one.

✅ Messaging in the form itself and questions you ask to filter people

✅ Targeting

(And of course having a system of Ads to turn those leads into paid clients also helps 😮‍💨)

It’s ok to decide NOT to do something.
But stop lying to yourself when you say “I will decide later”.

Because 99% of the time, you already know what’s right for you.

It’s just too scary/uncomfortable to actually commit and move forward.

Or it’s too scary to say “NO” to someone because of people pleasing.

What I’ve learned in my business journey is that my first instinct is what I need to do.

If I start thinking past that, chances are that I’ll start overthinking and talking myself out of what I know I want to do.

Business is always about discernment.

Some things are right for you.
Some aren’t.
It’s ok.

But the faster you move with what is right for you, the faster you reach your goals.

And the faster you say “NO” to what’s not serving you, the faster you can move towards what does.

Waiting is just keeping you stuck.
