✨ Week Recap with ✨
An interesting week to say the least. Majority of our week was spent at home due to the flu, but fortunately the house was good to go by Friday - just in time for Cam’s cousins to come into town for an early Christmas celebration!!
✨ Cam insisted on a Wicked party while she was out of school. Naturally had to take a photo of said declaration.
🎄 Cam’s Mickey Mouse decoration took a massive hit by the wind and is no more, very representative of our week.
🌴 Our good friends sent over some to help cheer Cam up!! 💕💕💕
✨ came in clutch with our letter from Santa. Cam definitely felt the Christmas magic!
🎄our party of 3 happened and Cam loved it. Reminded me that it never has to be perfect, just creative. She was all in and made up for missing all the cool things at school this week.
🌴 I caught a smile from Cam while sporting her .georgie jumpsuit! (Psst - a few of these left and they are wicked cute and comfy)
✨ Cam was feeling better and dancing / jumping on the couch in celebration
🎄Had a fun event at with !! Thankful to for bringing these compression boots. Was a wild feeling and I loved it!
🌴 The cousins were able to still come into town since Cam turned a corner late Thursday!!! Enjoyed a beautiful evening at .
✨Our Christmas celebration wouldn’t be complete without cookie decorating thanks to .
🎄 We (& by we, my poor mother and the kiddos) attempted a gingerbread house (aka sugar cookie house). I mean it came out ok but, I’m also 99% sure that the kiddos ditched her half way through…
🌴 Christmas with the McGunnigle / Holmes crew was a success. Cam was of course sad Sunday am when they had to jet out but so worth it having them here Friday & Saturday!!
✨ Went to to enjoy brunch with Santa and some shopping. It was the perfect afternoon !!
🎄 the best surprise was running into Cam’s favorite !! True Christmas magic for her that’s for sure!

❤️ Cam’s Classroom Window display is gingerbread house theme and all the kiddos have their own gingerbread. It’s so cute!!
💚 Cam learned the art of stacking cups and knocking them down 😂
❤️ Had a great lunch with at !!! Got spoiled with some of the best holiday beverages !
💚 Enjoyed Ladies Night at & - Barb is so fun!!!
❤️ hat for Cam (was supposed to be her Christmas present but someone was wide awake when I got home haha)
💚 Cam’s brought her the reindeer book & stuffie! The Christmas Spirit is strong in this house 🎄🎅
❤️ Went looking around The Red House in Summers Corner - they have the best Christmas Lights! Enjoyed some hot cocoa and Christmas treats with our friends .and.dex
💚 Helped host an event at with ! Cam stopped by of course and we also helped support !!

It’s the holiday season and that means time for those Family Traditions!! Don’t have one or looking for new ideas? You’re in the right place. We are sharing a few Charleston area families and their Holiday Traditions and hope these can help spark some ideas for y’all!
Meet ! Let’s see what Jenny and her family do around the holidays:
✨ New ornament each year ✨
This one is a fun one for us all. I can get pretty obsessed with the theme of the tree but since having kids, I’ve had to let that go a bit. Everyone gets to pick out an ornament (usually under $5), and it doesn’t matter what it is.

🌴 One Christmas gift on Tree Decorating night 🌴
On the first night we decorate our tree, we let our kids open one present. Something about the excitement from my kids opening up a present is just so heart-warming.

🎄Baking cookies for the neighbor 🎄
I’m no Betty Crocker, but I can definitely bake some pre-made cookie dough… sometimes. It’s a small gesture, but a great way for the kids to start learning about giving & connecting with our neighbors

✨ Read “The Night Before Christmas” on Christmas Eve ✨
My MIL and DIL gave Carter “The Night Before Christmas” one year with their voices reading the story. It’s become a tradition where we bust out the book and let the kids press the buttons to let Nana and Papa read to them.

🌴 Letter from Santa on Christmas morning 🌴
Along with the milk and cookies we leave out on Christmas Eve, the kids also write a note for Santa. Santa in returns, writes a thank you letter back!

❄️ Got a Season Pass to and went to WinterFest (Cam had the best time!!)
🎅 Had too much fun at & running around & meeting Santa & Mrs Claus!! Cam’s dress: .georgie (it’s her current fav!!)
✨ Went to Speedway Christmas at and met The Grinch!
🎄 After going to 3 places, we picked out our Christmas Tree!
🏡 Put together our Christmas Village which now conveniently has a in town!

✨🎄🌴 Holidays in the South: 🌴🎄✨
❄️❄️☃️ WinterFest ☃️❄️❄️
We went to with the whole family for WinterFest! This is a fun evening night out for the whole family hosted on select nights from Nov. 15-Jan 4 from 5-10pm. Amongst the regular activities, there are many holiday themed activities like: Shows (Tinkers Toy Factory, Cool Yule Christmas & more…), Meet (We got to meet Snoopy dressed as Santa), Arts & Crafts, Letters to Santa, & so much more! For additional fees you can: Rent a personal igloo at Jack Frost’s Igloo Village, Go Ice Skating at Snow Flake Lake or Decorate Cookies at Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen. We ended the night with the WinterFest Wonderland Parade & dancing in snow before we made it out to our cars.
❄️TIPS❄️
☃️ Arrive to EARLY. Plan to arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 if you want to enjoy the most time there. Traffic will build up quickly (I can tell you by experience - Ie: our ETA was 5:15pm & we didn’t get in, parked and through the entry gate until 7pm. Don’t be like us.)
☃️ You do not need to do any of the extra additional fee activities (although very fun). There is PLENTY to do for the entire night.
☃️ Camp Snoopy was really fun for the littles! Definitely pack your 2 P’s (Patience & Positivity) as the rides take a bit of time to get riders on and off.
☃️ Download the app to check out the park map and keep an eye on times for shows, character meets and activity locations.
☃️ We opted to purchase Gold Passes since we are up here often AND my daughter and her cousins are very into amusement parks now. If you go twice - it’s paid for and parking is covered too! (Fun tip: If you have a Season Pass - your little one 5 & under can get a Pre-K Season Pass for FREE!!!)
☃️ is about 3 hours from Charleston- could make for an easy day trip in the Summer or an overnight stay for an evening event like this!

✨ .chs hosted our 2nd Women’s Networking Event over at a little over a week ago and it was the best time y’all! Creating this space for women to connect & thrive is an absolute dream!
✨ Huge thank you to for hosting us. Y’all went above & beyond for us and the space was perfect! Also - can we just shout out the entire staff for a moment? Every single one went the extra mile - they even brought us samples of custard mid way through our night. Beyond impressed & we will definitely host another event here in the near future!

🏡 Closed my parent’s West Ashley home! I got this one under contract in under 24 hours and the entire contract was seamless! Couldn’t have asked for a better co-broker on. This one! Great work all around and happy parents!
🎄 We went to the 35th Annual Festival of Lights at James Island County Parks ! Cam became besties with Mrs Claus. It was the most fun!
💕 Cam & I went to cake-pop making class held at . I learned so much and why my cake pops never work. Loved this for Cam & me to do together - can’t wait for the next one because I know she loved it too!
✨ Went to Tree Lighting! Got our reindeer balloon from and had such a fun night! Holiday season is underway 💃💃💃
