TROPICS: Another broad area of low pressure in the western Caribbean is expected to meander into the Gulf of Mexico later this week. Forecast models are not in strong agreement with the development and track of an eventual system as a blocking area of high pressure could hinder development and keep it generally south of the Lowcountry.

However, there is still a *medium* (50%) chance of development by late week or next weekend. Rain chances across our area should become a little more likely starting next Saturday regardless of development.
