A wonderful option to help the displaced residents of Cornerstone. Monetary donations are a great way to help meet the needs of each resident as they can be tailored to meet each resident and their family's individualized needs. Please consider donating.

03/21/2024

UPDATE, March 21, 4:50 p.m.
Thanks to the hard work of our disaster team and partners, the Red Cross assisted the majority of households displaced by the fire at Cornerstone Apartments. Because of the proportion of families assisted today, we will not return to the Chanute City Park Pavilion tomorrow as initially planned. Households that were not able to meet with us today should call 1-800 RED CROSS if they need assistance.

People often want to help in these situations. Financial donations are the fastest way to help families affected by disasters like this fire. People who want to donate are encouraged to give to Red Cross disaster relief by visiting redcross.org. We know many people ask about donating goods like clothing to help people affected by disasters. Those inquiries should go to Neosho County Emergency Management at this time.

UPDATE, March 21, 1:10 p.m.
Red Cross disaster workers will be at Chanute City Park Pavilion until 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow to help residents who need assistance. If you need help and cannot make it during those times, please call 1-800 RED CROSS.
