Starting the 2024-25 school year strong, we at Prospectus are featuring our first Professor Spotlight on Parkland’s only on-campus political science professor, the exceptionally fascinating Dale Gardner. Gardner has been teaching since the 1980s in various universities and locations, both domestic and international. With his many years of experience surrounding political science inside and outside the classroom, we sat down with Gardner and asked questions about his life and teaching experiences....

With just two weeks until PYGMALION celebrates its 20th anniversary and reopens a floodgate of talent into Champaign-Urbana, time is ticking down to grab tickets and get in on the frenzy. After a farewell to Parkland’s beloved Betsy’s Bistro on July 1, 2024, with a couple of months of various food trucks filling in since then, a brand new cafeteria - called ETC (Eats, Treats, & Catering) - had its grand opening today, Sept. 3. ETC is expected to consist of many of the same food items with the same layout as Betsy’s Bistro....

At 20 years old, Kassidy Caroline is smashing her expectations of following her dreams. After initially resigning from the Prospectus to publish her first book by the age of 22, she has thrown her inhibitions to the wind and enlisted the help of friends and family to make her dreams a reality. After sitting with our former Editor-In-Chief, we became enraptured in the queer-centered tale of “The Shadows We Hide.” The outdoor seating of The Literary here in Champaign served as an appropriate backdrop for our many laughs and squeals about the writing process, soundtrack curation, wishful Netflix adaptation, and slight spoilers....
