I spotted this quilt in a dumpster on my morning walk this morning! Itā€™s old but in great condition. After a long soak and wash, it looks great. It is all hand quilted. Since Iā€™m a quilter, it broke my heart to see it in the dumpster, but Iā€™m happy I got to bring it home with me

I don't normally look through the Christmas section at thrift stores, but since I was shopping with my mom, I followed her.
To my delight I found a whole pile of beautiful vintage tree toppers. Someone had donated a box of them, so I picked my favorites and brought them home for year-round decor. āœØ

Drove an hour for one of my holy grail items, The Applebeeā€™s Cat Lightā„¢ļø

Found at a local resale shop and fell in love immediately! I was sure she was going to be out of my price range. She's pretty heavy duty and a nice size. She came with a bag of her organs. I was beyond excitement when I looked at her tag and it said $15!! I scooped her and her insides up and headed to secure my find with purchase! Stop the car!! My boyfriend saw this sitting on the side of the road and didn't stop. He DID, however, instantly call me since it was like 2 mins down the road from my house. He wasn't sure what he was seeing, other than it was a Mario Kart. So, I jumped in the van and hauled arse to investigate. It had a sign taped on it that said, "Kat, you need me. You want me. I can do wonderful things for you! Take me. Take me home right now." Actually, it said FREE, but it might as well have said all that other stuff.

So, I grabbed it, shoved it in the van, and burned back home lol
All the kids are actually super excited. They're all also 10+ in age, and I am well aware this is a power wheels toy intended for preschoolers lol however, I don't care, it's mine, and it seduced me through my boyfriend. I couldn't say no!

I actually intend to clean it up and give it a new, fresh coat of paint (it's plastic... Power wheels...) But, I don't care.
I love it and I need it and it absolutely came home with me for free after I rescued it from the side of the road lol I know it's not weird and it's not as wonderful as some amazing finds here, but this is amazing for me, and as a die hard Nintendo lover, this is mine!

I'm freaking out right now. I've found what appears to be a very good, if a bit worse for wear, reproduction of Marcel Duchamp's 'N**e Descending A Staircase' (1912) at a Goodwill in Georgetown, TX. It's literally my favorite abstract painting. This is NOT a print. Someone went through the trouble of painting this masterwork, stroke for beautiful stroke, and then somehow it ended up at Goodwill for 25 bucks. I'm beside myself. I'm hanging it in my stairway because of course I am.
