Since 1893, the Central City Republican-Nonpareil has been at the forefront of community journalism in Central City, Nebraska. RHD Publishing LLC serves as the esteemed publisher of the Central City Republican-Nonpareil and the innovative force behind R-N Sports. We have established ourselves as a cornerstone of reliable and engaging local news. Last year alone, we proudly distributed approximately 60,000 print newspapers, testament to our deep-rooted presence in the community.

Our commitment extends beyond traditional print. With an increasing number of devoted online-only subscribers, we continue to embrace the digital age. Our comprehensive approach to marketing was exemplified in 2023 when we successfully managed all marketing needs for the Merrick County Fair, showcasing our versatility in printed materials, social media, and digital advertising.

Staying connected with our audience is paramount. We actively engage with readers on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. From October to December 2023, our Facebook reach for the Republican-Nonpareil hit an impressive reach of 82,440 people, with over 13,000 visits. R-N Sports also made a significant impact with a reach of 27,400 and nearly 21,000 visits. On Instagram, we touched over 12,000 lives and saw more than 4,000 visits. Our TikTok presence for R-N Sports is particularly striking, amassing over 267,000 video views, reaching nearly 200,000 individuals, and garnering over 5,000 profile views.

But we don’t rest on our laurels. In 2023, we expanded our offerings with exciting video content and launched a podcast, initiatives that have contributed to our growing subscriber base.

Just as inspiring as a Ted Lasso talk, we spoke in our staff meeting today about our new mission as a company. Ryan calls these The Three Ize, and laid out how you obtain “it.” Of course we then had to design, print and hang some motivational reminders around the office.

One comment we often hear is “I didn’t know you do that!” For generations newspaper publishers have supported their newspaper by offering various print jobs and the R-N is no different. We look to continue that while also bringing a modern touch by also offering various marketing and creative solutions. Have a look at some of that which we offer. For nearly the past three years RHD Publishing has put our heart and soul into publishing the Central City R-N with the promise of being more than your hometown newspaper. The R-N is just one of the many things that we do inside our office so we thought we would expand our social media footprint and show you all some of the great things that we have done, continue to do and plan to do in the future.
